I think Room of Requirement is the first thread to interact with the Goldmage world on a potentially global scale. Are they just going to find all non-Cefaxi mageries boring?

I mean, otherwise I'd have to invent some and make sure there's no way they ought to have influenced the plot of the novel.

It's pretty reasonable for one place to happen to have the most interesting ones. The fact that they name mages after colors means there can't be too many competing kinds; otherwise they'd have to call them things like salmonmage or candymage.

In that case we’ve seen Aestrix mages, Alicorn mages, Maggie mages, Marri mages, and Nemo mages, with a brief mention of ErinFlight mages.

I was under the impression that transportation was still an issue so they could just not live close enough. Nah, it has continents, but some kinds of magic I could toss off without thinking very hard would wind up setting-breaking in retrospect.
