Victor’s surname, and Petunia’s being slightly more sympathetic to the boy, are interesting divergences in addition to just the basic premise of the plot.

There’s only one change I’m really wondering about at the moment: despite Victor thinking that Dudley was “the dudliest of them all”, in the very next reply, for the first time, the canon Dudley looks dudlier. (key difference “and he goes without complaining” vs. “They heard him banging things with his Smelting stick all the way down the hall”). The others are obviously from Victor not being Harry (when some lines of dialog happen, how the first few days of letters go) or foreshadowing things which you plan to explain in full later the things I mentioned above as interesting divergences)
