What happens if there's an Ambela in a world with evil Ainur?

The Valar are still the main source of concentrated Ability To Do Stuff, and some but probably not all of their problems would be fixed by improved comprehension. So one possibility would be they're terrifying and competent in exactly the way Midnight's afraid of. But it could also be consistent with everything threaded so far if the answer is "cotton candy," or anything in between.

("No version of Eru would put Ambela in that Arda" is arguably true but too Doylist for me.)

Isn't it an evil to fork?

(Context: the Moriwen and Throne characters in Eos thread and how Zari just forked and merged and forked with hexes)
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

iirc you need evils when death or torching is involved; I can't remember if there's an established pointiness level for forking/merging when nobody involved is torchable or dead.

I would be surprised if it were more than a hex to fork, at least? Squares do large (uh, half a body? or probably at least a leg? of) conjuration, I'm like 90% sure a pentagon could do near enough a whole body's worth of healing, and unless brains are somehow special I'd expect hexes to work just fine to create people?

seems on par with the general "hexes give you a permanent superpower" thing

… I'm actually kinda confused at an evil being required for resurrecting a dead person. Wouldn't it take, I don't know, a hex for past-viewing, a hex for eidetic memory, and then a hex to recreate the body?

I mean, if Downside is messing with things, then I'd probably understand it, but I didn't realize it was and if it's not then – I mean, the coins seem to just be mysteriously less powerful when it comes to resurrecting people, I guess, like magic things? (In which case it might need more than a hex for a regular fork.)

"mysteriously less powerful when it comes to resurrecting people" seems like a weird way of looking at it...?

Certainly it seems like two or three hexes should let you double your attention capacity, create a puppet body, and get sensory input from it, which seems strictly superior to forking; so I would be surprised if you couldn't fork with a hex.

Superior doesn’t mean less magic. In many ways an unbreakable magic object which you can summon to yourself is better tha a power, because the former can be shared, but the object is a pentagon and the power is a hex.

I'm gonna guess the issue is with actually waking up the recreated body, if I were to use hexes like I suggested? But, like, the coins can do rather good immortality with a hex, I think, and it seems like "gets to the brink of death several times over but stays alive" should be 'harder' than, I don't know – just restarting the electrical activity in a brain?
