I know!

Is this what Eru feels like all the time?

Timothy wrote:"Okay. More magic! That's good. The more there is floating around the better the chance it's exploitable together."
This makes sense in glowfic. Victory comes from crossing the streams and messing with multiple magic systems. But that's too Doylist. In-multiverse it seems wrong. Knowing enchantment is magic doesn't mean it can do anything new. It even makes it much less exploitable: Cam can't do some research and appear them as many Great Rings as they feel like. And there probably aren't many magic systems where the reverse is true and it can interact with foreign magic but can't touch nonmagic. If Flat Arda enchantment were just weird tricks with physics, like morphing or Space Silmarils, it wouldn't mean there's less of a chance daeva or Elspeths can accelerate it.

Timothy didn’t know enchantment was a thing before. Now he knows that there’s new capabilities and he’s sure they aren’t redundant with 2179 or Space Arda.

Well, there's Galatea metamagic.

In don't touch me, Eru says “I can release people from oaths that were spoken before me, such as the oath of the house of Fëanor.”

Is this shorthand for “I am omnipotent and can release any oaths” or “Manwë and Varda listen to me”, or are they for some reason not also keepers of the Oath despite the last line being “On the holy mountain hear in witness and our vow remember, Manwë and Varda!”?

(A lot of the metaphysics seems to have slightly changed between that thread and now, such as Eru reawakening dwarves instead of connecting their afterlife planet to Arda, but Valar being able to bind Oaths is not one of those things because the Orcs’ oaths are before Melkor)

I think I know this one? Eru is also mentioned in the Oath, but before that: "Our word hear thou, Eru Allfather" etc
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

Yeah, but since they are all named (although only Manwë and Varda are listed as witnesses) I would expect them all to need to agree. Otherwise calling on more entities makes the Oath weaker, not stronger, which seems backwards.

Unless it's some kind of "Eru trumps Valar" thing.

Anyway, they've got Melkor a nice VR setup where he can engage in as much imaginary torture and wanton destruction as he pleases
This, um, doesn't seem like an improvement over the usual Space Elf situation to me...
