Sometimes you go visit a different author's character in the middle of a thread, like Edda purples in Silmaril.

Also, sometimes you might make a scenario post without having decided whose character will be in that scenario.

So if authors are set at thread creation, it should also be possible to change that list later.

Notice: Viewing abandoned posts that you can theoretically write in is currently broken. (All sandbox posts that are abandoned, if you're logged in, and all abandoned posts that you're a coauthor of, etc.) The fix is rather small and should hopefully be pushed within a few hours.

And yes, the list would almost certainly be changeable. The constellation seems pretty centered around letting you edit things later. :P

Changes:

1. New posts now use the character's default icon again! (This was broken for like two days and was defaulting to your avatar, by accident.)
2. Abandoned posts now display even if you could theoretically write in them! (This was broken for… a day? Ish?)
3. Default keywords when you upload icons! (Currently it's the filename subtract the extension if there is one – do report if there's anything wrong with how it works.)
4. More page titles! For a complete list, please see this commit (also fix editing a board if it returns an error about some of your inputs – previously this was crashing)
5. New posts now display the boards in the order of the 'Continuities' page! (Meaning 'Sandboxes' comes first and is now default, yay.)
6. Posts show descriptions if you hover over the subjects! (Apologies to those of you on mobile unless you have some alternate way to access the 'title' of elements.)
7. Character icon-view is now sorted properly (alphabetically, as opposed to arbitrarily :P)
8. Post access-lists now let you change who's on the list! (This was broken, uh, I think like two months ago?)

In mobile chrome, I can usually see hidden text of an image in the dialog I get by pressing and holding on it. But I don't see it in the corresponding dialog for pressing and holding on an Unread thread title. I don't know if that's something set up different or just it handling images different from links.

I expect it’s Chrome handling images specially.

Firefox, at least, works if the 'title' attribute is on the link itself instead of the box. I've suggested a change for that, so it might in fact work at some point in the future!

I am tentatively migrating to the "constantly refresh 'unread'" solution from the "have 30 tabs open" solution. I use the "opened threads" view. When I hide threads (which is oftenish; I give lots of threads a chance before I decide they are not for me) I am then spat out onto the "all threads" view instead and have to re-toggle that; that's irksome.

I wish to praise the thing where thread descriptions appear on mouse hover.

I haven't experienced that problem since going to my Account page and under "Unread Default" checking "opened threads only".
