Re: Sandbox Discussions
Are bootstrap and tragic literature supposed to be in the 'not sure if they'll join the main continuity' section, because I have a feeling they aren't. Also is bootstrap supposed to be finished? Or not?
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
They're part of an untitled subcontinuity, according to the Dreamwidth index, and yeah, presumably bootstrap should be marked finished.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
For reference, Kaylo is straight in canon but is willing to be bi-for-sandboxes.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
From A mad god’s creation: "You can indeed take part in [the Valar’s] deliberations, but this would slow them considerably and should not be framed as a concern of urgency."
The typical un-derailed deliberations take several Decades to get to action. I’m not sure she could slow them if she tried.
I just realized part of the issue might be the time effect. It took several hundred Endórë years, but only several dozen Valinor Years.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Unfortunately Calassúrë doesn't actually know how long it will take them on their own.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
No, and presumably they don’t either despite prophecy, because that would be useful. It still seems really weird. Mixing Valar and incarnates probably results in something that takes longer than the incarnates would want but less time than the Valar, just like mixing Elves and humans probably results in something on an intermittent timescale.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
Yep! Which is why she's still talking to them despite their condescension and statements of how she's making them take longer. She thinks they have more confidence in themselves and their ability to do things at a reasonable timescale than they particularly deserve. Also because clearly they're skimping on the job of being gods, and she can recognize how much the lack of communication's hurting everyone, so even if she's making them take longer she's creating something with a net positive.

Maitimo: “hasn't been a death at Hogwarts in two decades.”
That might not be a brag-worthy statistic in 2179, but for the 2010s it’s pretty impressive. Depending on which statistics I look at for adolescent death rate and Hogwarts student count, that’s somewhere between a slightly low death rate and an extremely low one.
