So, as I've been excitedly telling the glowfic IRC channel all about, I started writing my Sword of Truth rewrite. The latest version of the first chapter is here. I am very excited and constantly pestering people to read it and tell me what they think. XD
Casting spoilers (characters who have been tweaked or template-replaced):
Dramatis Personae
Richard Cypher: Trick, a JokerSherlock
Kahlan Amnell: Ilsa Karsh, a Libby (name tentative and may be changed)
Zeddicus Zu'l Zorander: Zenada Zavina Zorander, no template, just a gender change
Zedd's daughter (did she have a name?): to-be-determined Zorander, a Cordelia or maybe just a Cordelia template-cousin
Mistress Denna: Sandra, a Chainsaw
Mistress Cara: Also Sandra
Rachel: Anya, an Eights (sixteen as of Wizard's First Rule, for reasons)
Chase: Gaiety Hargrave, a Ga*el
Alric Rahl: to-be-determined Rahl, an Ezar (come on, making the Rahls be Vorbarras just makes intense amounts of sense)

Yeah, I was just going through your Sword of No tag on tumblr and saw that. Not sure why I thought he was originally a Steven.
Thoughts:
I really loved how you had passages of the book go through Tricks mind and then him kind of putting it back inside his head and have him lie his arse off. If it was anyone else I figure Ilsa would have noticed his lie. Especially a Confessor!Libby. Don't they have weird lie detecting powers? But anyway.
Also loved the part where he pulls her up onto the ledge to get her away from those dudes. Idk. I just thought it was particularly smart and totally would have tricked not-magic-using dudes.
Well, the narration uses the "inner self"/"outer self" terminology for a reason. If he were merely lying, she'd notice. What he's doing is living his entire life as a version of himself who has never heard of the book, while the version of him who has heard of the book exists in the back of his mind with no direct outward-facing connections.
I am glad you liked the pulling her up onto the ledge!! I am proud of that whole sequence.
