I think the thread isn't a bad introduction to the setting, if you're interested. Unless you mean the setting the Elder God bits come from, in which case, there isn't one, I'm making it up as I go. :)

I meant the other one. It seemed like an okay introduction but not the best? Maybe more will be explained later but there was a lot in the “the characters aren’t explaining this as well as they might” category.

The setting isn't very big on explaining things, but yeah, fair.

I'd been hiding that thread as well. I read make her feel welcome based on the Particularly Good Threads recommendation and that's been a good-enough introduction to the setting that I've subsequently started reading other of Jarnvidr's threads.

I'm personally quite amused by having Kaede play AI box as the AI.

We didn't talk about it but maybe Alicorn was independently just as amused as I was.

The only one I know about is complete destruction of fairies, and I agree with Alicorn that it makes sense for that to work differently here than elsewhere. Are there others?
That was the one I was thinking about, I'm not sure if there were more but eh.

(Also, replied here not to spam that thread.)

I did notice the resemblance to the AI Box.

Going through old threads:

1. Nemo and/or Amber keep using these words from Jabberwocky. I do not think they mean what you think they mean. Although I could easily imagine a deranged gravity spirit gyring, they seem unlikely to gimble anything, and I certainly don’t remember the elves outgribing at the edge of the world.
Lintamande wrote:[Maitimo] gave ten people letters to that effect and told them to read them only if the first large number they thought of turned out divisible by four
But it's obvious at first glance whether a large number is divisible by 4, such that those people probably couldn’t use it as a good RNG. I’m not even sure I’d put the odds at less than 50%. Wouldn’t it make more sense to do thirteen people dividing by 5?
