Are completed threads that you've never opened removed from the Unread Posts page? I have the vague suspicion that this is happening (because I haven't seen completed threads on my Unread Posts page in a while except for one I specifically opened and marked as unread and the just-imported Pedro threads before I marked them as read, which are a special case). If it is, I would like it to stop on the general principle that threads do not cease to be unread just because they've been completed.

EDIT: Yep, this does seem to be happening. E.g. this thread, which I am >99% sure I have not read, did not show up in my Unread Threads (and I checked that I hadn't hidden it, either) until I opened it and manually marked it as unread.

That is very odd, because my unread is full of completed threads

Mine too. And it’s not in a continuity so that shouldn’t…

It is possible to mark read or hide the entire Sandboxes & Oneshots continuity. Is that intentional?

It's probably just not intentionally been removed from the list. And anyway, I mean, if people really want to remove non-continuitied things from all their lists then I don't see why they shouldn't be allowed.

Hmm, it turns out that I had actually read that particular thread (just didn't recognize/remember the thread title). Maybe I'm just hallucinating things. :p

Can I just say I like the new change that adds screennames below character names in icon view? Like. Have you seen it? For some reason that feels like a really nice UI to me (ignoring the huge X buttons, just ignore them, the rest of it, it's pretty). Another picture.

(Edit: Okay, how about a sample of lintamande's characters, Alicorn's characters, and Kappa's characters; P.S. how many characters do these people have omg on Kappa's the screenshot doesn't even get down to the end of the "A"s?)

It makes me really want to add more screennames to all my characters, and maybe start using icon view some more, and maybe go improve it some more somehow.

Anyway, changes that should now be live (by me, these ones):
  • Fix a crash if you try to view a gallery that doesn't exist!
  • Fix a crash if you input a non-URL when you edit an icon!
  • Add a screen-name to icon view (see above).
  • Hide abandoned threads from tags owed.
  • Use Image book_grey.png for abandoned threads.
  • (Actually prevent robots from going through literally every reply permalink; Marri tracked it down, I just did the actual typo fix.)
Ones that are not yet live but that may become so soon pending schedules and my ability to have done code right the first time and make it clear and not horribly ugly to read and so on:
  • A warning if you try to post a reply and there are unread replies! (Should catch you missing an over-the-page tag, or replying while someone else is replying.)
  • Fix navbar link wrapping! (You may have noticed that if you're on a somewhere-in-the-region-of-narrower-than-1080p screen the navbar links, 'Contribute' and such, wrap onto the next line kinda weirdly and squish right up against the user icon. That was not intentional. The CSS has been adjusted to hopefully fix this without adverse effects.)
  • Improve messaging! (Make the box larger, make it dark in starrydark, fix message HTML sanitization, add a 'preview' function, have message chains display in reverse chronological order, display the chain of messages when replying to it, respond to other recipient – not yourself – if you reply to an outbox mail.)
  • (Hopefully, if I have my utterly horrible untested guess right that I have no idea how to test, there will also be emails provided when you receive PMs if you have the 'email notifications' button checked in Account, but this is totally separate from the rest of the update because I am like 80% certain I got something wrong there.)
  • (Don't crash if you try to add icons in a developer copy of the Constellation and don't have the S3 bucket enabled! (This has been bugging me for a while. I didn't know of a clean fix. I'm not sure the fix is clean. I'm not sure it'll be approved. Eh.))

Any chance the little First Unread link icons could be bigger on Mobile for my fingers which are not quite that tiny? I don't know how to do it without accidentally also making the table rows taller, but you might know a way.

I have it zoomed way in because vision and still often misclick, so making the target bigger would be nice.
