Kappa you are adorable. After seeing this phrase (There are three base elements in this magic system. They are Joker, Sherlock, and Miles - *ahem* I mean, they are Earth, Air, and Light.") I kept substituting in my head as appropriate all throughout this thread.
Anyway.
Flora is very Air. She gets hit by the drawback really badly when she's having a meltdown but she gains a lot of strength too.
Amy is Light. How good she is at Light-ing depends on the importance of "deep" and "meaningful" in the relationship, but she is pretty good at not being hit by the drawback.
Zane is Wood. He gets Earth-drawbacked... pretty often, but when he isn't he draws strength from it. He's okay at both parts of Light.

I've started naming characters now that I can run my language generator and use the internet at the same time!
The local Vorbarra-equivalents are the Fareine family, including Fareine Dekaral (Dorca), Fareine Orin (Yuri), Fareine Arozavei (Xav), Fareine Torvari (Ezar), Fareine Siurek (Serg), and Fareine Korovai (Gregor).
I don't have a surname for the Vorkosigans yet because I came up with one before I remembered that I wanted this to be a family-name-first society and "Kadirian" has a bad rhythm when put in front of these given names, but Piotr is Ferothrai, Aral is Aira, Cordelia is Kalevra, and Miles is being difficult. XD
edit: The Miles ceased to be difficult, and I renamed the Cordelia. The family is now Kadiran, populated by Kadiran Ferothrai, Kadiran Aira, Nysse Calantri, and Kadiran Ruava.
The Ges is (tentatively) Ravar Nirani.

I figured out how to do Not The Triforce! I am proud. It's kind of Venn-diagram-y but with all straight lines and a triangular silhouette, which is exactly the aesthetic I wanted.
Re: ??? (help I accidentally a setting)
Yay!
Are the triangular areas the single elements, the chevron the doubles, and the hexagon the triple?

Yes. If you look at it a certain way, it's made of three overlapping isoceles triangles. Those represent the three base elements. The chevrons are where two of those triangles overlap; the hexagon is where all three do.
Re: ??? (help I accidentally a setting)
It might be clearer if you colored those three triangles based on the element.

That set of colours fulfills "the parts are coloured in" but somewhat less "the parts are coloured in a way that makes it obvious how the overlap is supposed to work", I think.
