And the opportunity to take breaks. I think high-enough-level sorceren somewhat have it because they can have a wide enough variety of maintenance (agelessness, flight, health, lack of bodily maintenance needs) that their momentum won’t actually drop for a while if at all, but Kithabel is low-enough level that this is still immensely helpful.

Maintenance stuff like "not aging" does not actually increase momentum once it's at the point where you need no longer focus on it. You must maintain your generalist momentum with a variety of active work, you can't ever just float there having assorted godlike properties.

I thought you said that floating was at least strictly better than sleeping?

It is. You will not ever lose a property you are using (to do a thing, as opposed to as a contingency) right at that moment. If you float there having godlike characteristics, you will, at least, not fall out of the sky.

I assume if you float there having godlike properties until all your non-floaty godlike properties forget about you, you will then have specialist floating momentum and can safely land without doing (much) (further) injury to your momentum? Is it easier to transition from that back to real sorcerous status than it is to start from scratch? Presumably it would still take over a decade, but perhaps not as much over?

Right; and a little easier, but not very much.

Is it possible to pivot specialties? If you start off as a specialist healing injuries, could you then be able to have (or possibly bestow) accelerated healing, and from there able to cure infectious diseases or aging?

Hmm, I think I'll allow that.
