I am disappointed; the two giant loopholes big enough to drive a spaceship through which Midnight used were the exact same ones I’d identified, although I thought of using them individually. I was hoping there were others. I assumed he was going to try something because I understand him better than many of the other characters, having read a lot of There Will Be Light.

In particular, I had thought before some of the edits that the host would realize that he could try—and inevitably fail—to put his Yeerk in Midnight’s head while Midnight was reading him.

Midnight was also hoping the host would think of that; the host, not having read There Will Be Light, didn't.

Updated map as of "destruction of property". Regulars of #quendi were a big help.

Yeah, I assumed that was why the post edits were made.

Re: teleporting Andalites:
I was sure there were times in Star Trek when Starfleet meets advanced aliens and are then annoyed the advanced aliens won’t share or trade technology, but I can’t find them. I was sure that in one in particular the aliens explicitly mentioned the Prime Directive and the main characters argued that was different. If anybody knows which episodes these were, or if they even exist, I would be glad to hear it.

Which posts were edited, exactly?

Also ditto on the understanding Midnight thing. (I think he is now my favourite Maitimo to read about, actually)
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

The Constellation has an update history. It’s around the time Ehtelion thought Midnight would team up with a Melkor of it were useful, but I am on my phone and can’t get the link now.

Wasn't it that Ehtelion thought the Yeerk would team up with a Melkor if it were useful?

You’re right, that does make more sense. I thought he was thinking to the Yeerk about Midnight, but their reaction makes it likely the other way around.

Wait, so how did asking a demon to put a Yeerk in his head count as Midnight acting towards Visser Two's goals? Maybe that's the sort of twisting you *might* be able to pull off as a hostile vassal, but I thought oaths were stricter than that. The only thing I can think of is that Midnight actually intended "your goals" to refer to Ehtelion's goals instead, but in that case I don't understand how summoning a demon counts as acting towards them.

I mean, he never swore not to act against Visser Two's goals.
