I actually suspect they'd be more likely to come in ghem then haut. The haut don't do traditional families at all and the family is clearly very attached to each other.

Shouldn't "go not to the elves for counsel" be in "West" in the Silmaril continuity on the Constellation?

Also, the link to "twice upon a time" on the DW index goes to "go not" instead.

*Would* the continents in a pre-destruction-of-beleriand Flat Arda be recognizeable as Earth continents?

I assumed there would be two extras but they would still be recognizable if they were pre-earths. Why wouldn't they be?

Well, for one thing the continents change shape when the place is sphered, and undergo various other upheavals.

There are maps of First Age Beleriand. The better comparison is probably Pangaea or other set of early supercontinents. Never thought to compare those, but Tolkien's maps predate the acceptance of plate tectonics so I'd be shocked if they matched up there either.
