I suspect, although not being Marri I can't confirm, that the ghost unread threads are threads to which you don't have access permissions.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
This was already mentioned a few pages ago.
In response to the unread icon, I rather liked how unobtrusive the arrow (bullet-go) looked, but I will probably get used to note-go. The old symbol (the same as the permalink one) was similarly quite unobtrusive, I think.Marri wrote:I'm pretty sure the access problem is in fact the unread problem. It's complicated to solve so it will go on the list for later.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
note_go is growing on me.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I like the idea of different themes having different icons; note_go is particularly obtrusive on a dark background. On the other hand, I'm already starting to get used to it, so I expect I'll end up being okay with whatever you eventually settle on.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Thirding; I use the dark starry and bullet-go looks great on it, so if it's not much effort to have different icons for the different themes that might be a nice move. (And they're similar enough that it shouldn't be confusing when changing themes or anything.)

Bug: When I click the unread link it takes me to the page after the one that has the first unread post on it.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
The circumstances of which thread this happened for might be relevant, unless it's a recurring issue? Also where you had read up to previously, if you had loaded that page (it counts a whole page as "read" when you load it, not based on how far you scroll down), and when it occurred (and therefore whether it was the last page in the thread when you had read it or not).Timepoof wrote:Bug: When I click the unread link it takes me to the page after the one that has the first unread post on it.

It's a recurring issue. I think I might have loaded it, yeah. That is really inconvenient.

It is somewhat inconvenient, yeah. I think it would be difficult to do it another way without lots of server calls through Javascript.Timepoof wrote:It's a recurring issue. I think I might have loaded it, yeah. That is really inconvenient.
The pages on the forum act similarly in this way, I think – if you view them and they're unread, they go 'read' when the page is loaded, not when you scroll down to the applicable posts.

Maybe it could have like checkpoints you could click on every 10 or so posts which would mark those as read?
