Okay. Which story is this in? Edit: Found it. I am surprised, given the nature of glowfic, that the planes in question were the flying kind.

Also, it has become relevant in-thread, so it might be worth linking Moriwen’s inventing the Eclipse play Dream Eclipse outside of Spoilerland.

(Chaos Summoning Cards)
Can you make a diagram more magical by writing "magic square" twelve times around the edge?

I don't think we've actually defined it that much?

If we go by the worldbuilding I made up for my thread with Throne (found here), magic has to be nonredundant, repeating the same thing many times does not improve upon having it appear exactly once.

I was wondering because that Clow Card diagram appears to say "magic square" twelve times around the edge.

Edit: now with link.

I believe I might ignore canon on that one and pretend there's something else written there because 1) I had never been able to read those meaningless squiggles as literally anything before and 2) that's a bloody circle not a square, that makes no sense.

(Although it might be possible to just say that was Clow's humour showing through, god knows this would be just like him.)

Well, it does contain three squares, making up a twelve-pointed figure. Those might be magic?

Also, there are symbols in between "magic" and "square", and those vary. They might mean, like, "magic twin square", "magic windy square", or whatever those symbols are.

Or! Bring in a programming concept for synergy with the B plot? They're linking in the twelve subroutine diagram magic squares identified by those icons, that Clow Reed drew separately!

Also, numerology could matter; even if twelve copies of "magic square" doesn't count as twelve things, "twelve copies of" and "magic square" could count as two things.
