Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
Annie cannot *hear* lyricless music; it can still hurt her. However, the distance and volume at which it can do this is pretty human-hearing-based.
Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
What happens when somebody touched by the Thimble stands near somebody touched by the Comb, with the latter watching the signing of the Treaty of Six Emperors? Presumably the answer is not “the thimble-touched can read the treaty”, but why not? Do they borrow illiteracy from the comb-touched temporarily, or only get conscious thoughts instead of sensations also, or what?
Obviously the Dean touching an insomniac artifact would be bad. What about if he touched my beloved coffee mug with a benefit of not needing sleep and a downside of uncontrollable jitters? Which one wins in a direct conflict like that?
EDIT: To clarify, the coffee mug is entirely hypothetical. I have not become attached to any particular coffee mugs and don’t particularly like coffee anyway.

Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
You ever see those gifs of reconstructed video derived from MRIs of people who were watching videos? When there's text it looks weirdly textlike but it's total gibberish. It's like that.
Direct conflict is a case by case.

I had not; now I have (text around 2:02). I assume that this effect would be similar when reading people with the faceblindness artifact and probably also natural faceblindness or hemispatial neglect or dyslexia or whatever?
Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
(I realize all these conditions I named work differently; I did not mean to imply they would get the same effect, just that the thimble would not help process raw sensations)
Would necklace+knife+Annie’s healing artifact be as useful a combination as it sounds (healing with no downsides for nonmassochists besides the necklace’s)? What about necklace+knife+vase (no downsides besides those inherent in necklace+knife, which are dangerous if you don’t have good healing)?
Edit: Typos

Yes, you can get broken combos like that.

Quoting this here for reference

Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
Can multitouched Annie actually remove the necklace effect? It seems self-protecting and I don’t think we have confirmation of it being gone.

Re: Treasury Worldbuilding Info
She can remove the effect; she can't remove an already-in-place obsession with a person, but if you don't get one while you have the effect, removing the opacity and the potential-to-acquire-obsession will work seamlessly.
