No, the pushing power does not enable you to suppress elsewhere-acquired touched features.

Can you get rid of pushed powers somebody else pushed, or only ones you yourself pushed?

If a person is aroace could they avoid the drawback of the necklace, or would it hack their orientation, or would it just not work on them at all? What if they are aro but not ace, does the necklace require/force romantic attachment?

My guess from how other artefacts work is that you avoid the drawback. Just like if you are blind you avoid the faceblindness drawback, or if you and everybody you know wears sandals you avoid the shoelaces drawback.

I'm imagining the Aladdin scenario like this: Somebody rounded up a bunch of artifacts with catastrophically bad drawbacks and piled them up in a hidden cave. Most of them have immediately dramatic effects like "explosive toes". One in particular is more subtle: the lamp grants the toucher's wishes, subject to a few rules, but then bad things happen to the toucher. A guy called Jafar gets the idea to have somebody else touch it for him, make wishes on his behalf, and then suffer the bad effects so Jafar doesn't have to.

He gets this street urchin Aladdin to go in and get it. But Aladdin also touches something else, and now he's partly resistant to the lamp but at the full calamitous effect of the other thing.

Would the other thing be the rug? I guess not; its positive effect is unlikely to protect from the lamp. Except it makes it less likely you die falling.

I have yet to rule on whether you can remove powers other people pushed.

You can approximate the necklace as working like being a twivamp for purposes like that.

It could be the rug if the lamp's fate can be outrun if you travel at Show You The World speeds.

Could Annie perceive nearby lyricless music if not for that particular drawback? It seems like the sense would not cover that. And given that the range is not just within earshot because her ears are irrelevant, how far away or quiet can music be for her to be safe?
