Re: Sandbox Discussions
That sounds like it might be better off as an extension of the wiki, or something. Or a revival of that one spreadsheet.

Which spreadsheet? (Constellation might take a while)
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
When Kib say “wish granted”, I sort of freaked out for a bit before I remembered he was not a Sunnyverse demon of any kind. However nice the (intended form) of that wish would be, those sorts of demons always seem to make things worse. And that was a big one which would have involved massive use of time travel.
Other time questions

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Loki is planning to invent resurrection instead of mucking around further with time travel. (The Ents aren't gonna, like, mind waiting.) The Tesseract thought she might get along okay with the time stone, it just would have been a terrible tool for the job she was doing the last time she needed a non-Tesseract. And the stone solved the problem in a way we thought was entertaining because it didn't seem fun to have Loki continue to wheedle Mandos and we weren't feeling Loki Fights All The Valar For The Souls Of The Dead Right Then And There.

From the stork drops, the snake swallows:
I expect this technique and the other stuff he tried worked better than opening a restaurant serving free potatoes would have.
I don’t think this in particular happened on Earth so I can’t tell if this was a historical reference or not, but there was some guy who put in a lot of work to popularize potatoes in France a few hundred years ago. I was able to find it again just by Googling that French potato guy. He got the French government to declare potatoes edible, and then did several stunts to popularize it. In particular, he grew them in public and paid arm guards to make sure nobody stole his crop—and instructed them to accept bribes so people would “steal" the potatoes."The potato place was a real thing, although it didn't last very long. Some guy sold a bunch of potato farmers on giving him free potatoes so he could do culinary experiments and convince everyone they wanted to eat potatoes. They're sort of weird looking and weren't very popular before that."

That's where I got the idea of potatoes requiring popularization from but obviously Kib's potato guy is a different potato guy.

Carrots were unpolular until someone ran some through a machine meant for green beans - whence "baby" carrots.
