Whenever the elf threads talk about Dorthonion, I keep imagining what kind of Sith would call themselves Darth Onion.

During the time skip in "applied theology" my brain decided it was a good idea to be constantly repeating

"Curufinwë Fëanor
Fëanor
Fëanor
Just you WAAAIIIIIT
I am not throwing away my shot!"

even though it's mixing Quenya and Sindarin names and repeating one of them too often. SO ANYWAY if anyone wants to write a "Non-Stop"'s worth of lyrics about Fëanáro that would probably be a good idea and also I will love you forever.

How idiotic are the Valar, to do what they did immediately before the timeskip? That itself instantly brought on the first part of Fëanaro’s fate that they were trying to avoid. He would have taken at least another Year or two to get there on his own even with the speedup, and this version is far more hostile.

Something just occurred to me, actually.

It's said that you can't know enough about your own future choices to avert your fate by choosing differently.

So the Valar can see the future, sort of. But fate still exists, even with Aether around. The Valar can't know enough about the future to avert their fate by choosing differently. They always end up with exactly the set of information that will cause them to make the fate-conforming decision.

I feel sorry for the Valar now. That must be awful.

In High Energy Physics, is there a Lalita assumed to be present but probably not in thread, or was Isibella’s first Pon Farr accomplished with meditation, or what? Also was the ssh spoilers about Effulgence or some to-be-written applied theology sequel?

Meditation. I thought somebody might look at the announcement before finishing applied theology.

How good are Milliways’s medical facilities? I remember they exist but they have not been in thread much. Obviously, given Nathan, they do not typically offer resurrections, but if you are not yet dead by whatever definition can it be assumed they can keep you that way?

I thought of this question because of when Terence offered a slayer Bella an emergency medical teleport which would get him in trouble if used; would it make sense to try to create an emergency medical teleport to Milliways?
