Moiety Colors: Wow

If it's germane, yet doesn't fit into another category, it can go here.

I imagined that e.g. white-on-blue would look sufficiently different from yellow-on-blue for distinguishing-people purposes. On reflection, though, border colors are probably a better way to go.

Sine Salvatorem's aqua looks pretty similar to my cyan. Should I pick a secondary color in case I write stuff again? Or should I wait until I do, if I do?

██ Kel: Cyan, #00CFCF (Lemon, FFFF1D)
██ Kel: Cyan, #00CFCF (Fuchia, FF1DFF)
██ Kel: Cyan, #00CFCF (Orange, EE7700)
I would choose Lemon, but I am willing to change my mind. (... do these colors actually go together? I think they do??)
(Also, I'm not sure if any of these have actual names, I could only find hexcode names for them, so I made up some. If there's a naming conflict or a better name the name of the color can be changed.)

Before looking at your uncolored text, I would have suggested lemon, so at least one other person agrees with your choice. I also am bad at color coordination, though.

It appears that the Internet calls #FFFF14 just “yellow”, based on the xkcd color survey, and I can’t imagine a 4% change in the blue channel would make much difference. People have generally been avoiding that part of colorspace because it is hard to read text in it, but it probably works as a secondary color.

Me and Throne are going to revisit this idea tomorrow, but he went ahead and updated his publicly listed moiety rainbow at the last second before he went to bed. Don't panic, but now's the time to start thinking about whether you want to pick a secondary moiety colour and what you want it to be if you do. If you have a secondary already chosen in this thread, do you stand by it or would you rather pick another one?

Declining to choose a secondary is a perfectly reasonable and acceptable choice, and you don't need to bother with this whole business if you don't feel like it.
