I feel like I might be missing something, but can't you just permalink to the last reply of the thread? That should make it automatically load on the last page.Adelene wrote:For completed flat-readable DW threads I link to the last page; there's really not a solution I like for completed thread-form DW threads so I've been defaulting to three-from-the-end in that case too, but I'd like not to be doing that for GC threads; I'd like to have a way to specify 'the last page of this thread, whatever that means with the reader's settings'.

...that without the #reply-[number] bit would, yes. Hadn't thought of that.

Actually, I think you should do something different with it, be don’t know if that’s possible, so I think it belongs here first.
Is it possible to link to the first unread reply? I usually use the site logged out (I should change that) so I’m not sure, but I am at least under the impression that the unread threads page uses links to the reply which was unread when that page was generated. I think the ability to link to the first unread post would be useful. It could default to last page if you had read the whole thing.

Looks like no; when I go to that page and look at the links they're directing me to specific replies, not a generic 'last unread reply' url that would work for each person contextually.

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
I have made an issue for both ?page=last and ?page=unread (it should actually probably be ?page=unread#unread for proper jumping, like the forums do here), and also one for post links.
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Not a whole ton of updates but have an update anyway:
- Throne3d kindly did the thing where the title of a post now links to its first page (cc Adelene)
- I fixed a bug that had removed your ability to use <span style=""> tags, which I was using to color dragon speech for my dragonriders (oops). You can also use target="_blank" on links now.
- You can edit and delete continuities now (cc Eva and Timepoof)
- Deleting a reply now takes you back to its original page (cc Moriwen)

Re: The Glowfic Constellation
What happened to character groups, anyway?
Re: The Glowfic Constellation
Thank you for pointing this out! This should be fixed now. (For the techies: git commit -a != git add -A)rockeye_stonetoe wrote:At the moment I cannot make a new continuity.

Um. They continue to be a planned thing half done in a branch. The old functionality continues to not exist to make the world less horrible when I try to migrate old-style character groups to new-style character groups. That said, you've already got some, so if you want me to add things to them or tweak them slightly or something it will not increase the ultimate pain; it's just that separating leave for existing groups and leave for everyone was *also* kind of a pain and I'm trying to avoid moooore of them.Kappa wrote:What happened to character groups, anyway?
