Sorry if this has been answered before, but do they need to be underneath the eclipse?
Could they be on the opposite side of the planet?

Re: Sandbox Discussions
Eclipses anywhere affect people everywhere.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
This takes place after the late 1960s, so there has been some space travel (but presumably not of people the relevant age). What are the primary theories about how space travel would affect magic?

Re: Sandbox Discussions
They have not put any twelve year olds in space, let alone enough twelve year olds to be pretty sure some of them ought to get eclipsed. ~nobody knows~
Re: Sandbox Discussions
Yeah, that’s why I asked about top theories. But I suppose they might not actually have much more information than we do, so they would be the same theories we can come up with (Earth lunar eclipses affect everybody, on Mars it would be eclipses of the Martian moons, it’s eclipses for the nearest planet when you’re born instead of when you would eclipse, some other astronomical or astrological phenomenon is relevant for other locations, etc.).
I don’t suppose you’ve worked out answers either.
In any case, I bet this makes various discussions of colonization go differently. “We need to have the VR equipment ready before the first children are even born, just to be safe”.

Sadde says Isabella is monogamous, but I only remember her saying she doesn't share, not that she doesn't collect.

She doesn't collect either, but it's true Sadde doesn't definitively know this. Because she can just kinda decline to collect without needing to manage Sadde about it. And anyway she wouldn't collect the creep who's been harassing her for months.

Sadde assumed that was the case because Isabella specifically used the word 'monogamy' when asking Sadde about their feelings about collection and stuff, so.Ezra wrote:Sadde says Isabella is monogamous, but I only remember her saying she doesn't share, not that she doesn't collect.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
I just finished reading Sadde in Aurum (I know, I know, I should have done it a long time ago.)
I was getting to the end and I realized
Sadde's mother is still alive. Oh shit.
And a few pages later, yep.
It somehow feels even worse in this story. Sadde knows immortality is possible and they kept their mother until they were an adult. Well, it was a great story! Thanks for tugging on my heartstring. I'm really hoping their is a sequel.
