Did I mention spoilers? Because: Spoilers.
behold, spoilers
(1:22:30 PM) Adelene: *flops, pokes at Rescues plotting*
(1:22:35 PM) Kappa: <3
(1:23:36 PM) Adelene: I was talking to Link last night and it came up that even if Ziz is playing by rules such that we have a while before she becomes a factor, Contessa or someone associated with her is going to pop up the instant they can do that without Lurker fleeing.
(1:23:51 PM) Kappa: ooh.
(1:24:28 PM) Adelene: Which might take a while, but yeah. A thing to consider.
(1:25:46 PM) Adelene: (The model I'm using is that Contessa also can't see off-sheaf, but just the fact of Lurker having a way to get to other worlds at all is enough to make her power go !!!!!!!!.)
(1:25:54 PM) Kappa: XD
(1:26:24 PM) Adelene: ^^
(1:26:45 PM) Adelene: So, yeah.
(1:37:58 PM) Adelene: The basic plot outline at this juncture is that Lurker gets clued in on Rescue's project and offers to help, they go raze the institution and get basically everybody out after a planning phase, which gets protectorate attention since this was clearly a parahuman activity and most of those would have some kind of scary ulterior motive; the protectorate has enough thinkerpower to figure out /some/ things about this, though Lurker's power blocks them in a way that they find alarming. They find Lapse and Cadecus, who should probably have more of a role in the leadup than has been mentioned, I'll need to work that into the planning phase bit, but anyway the protectorate find them and do something about them and then find Lurker and try to go 'all right, that was understandable, we got the bad guys now give us back the kids'. Lurker gets a nice Speakerful soliloquy about how Nope. I'm not actually sure what happens from there; I have the vague idea that she rescues Cadecus from jail, or at least pops in to visit him and offer to, and I'm /pretty/ sure she at some point goes 'look, if you guys are this shitty at Speaking I'll put in some hours of that for you but /really/, c'mon, /try/', but I haven't found a resolution that really satisfies me yet.
(1:39:02 PM) Kappa: "about how Nope" <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
(1:39:07 PM) Adelene: :D

(2:04:10 PM) Adelene: hmmMMmm. So I think what happens actually is that Contessa sends Legend to hear the Nope Soliloquy, and to talk to her afterward about the endbringers and how they'd like to use her power against them, and she goes '...okay, that makes sense, and what's the thing you aren't telling me?', because that's /exactly/ how you get a Lurker's attention and cooperation against Scion. ^^
(2:04:29 PM) Kappa: omg XD
(2:04:30 PM) Kappa: <3
(2:04:33 PM) Kappa: <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
(2:04:34 PM) Kappa: <3 <3
(2:04:35 PM) Kappa: <3 <3 <3
(2:04:39 PM) Adelene: ^^

(2:35:47 PM) Adelene: hmm, a scene that needs to happen. Aftermath of the Nope Soliloquy/kid removal, Lurker does the work to be able to Speak for them, returns with a report for the protectorate/whoever's taken over at this point about arrangements to return them. Report starts with 'all right, this bunch don't want me to Speak for them. This group has chosen this one as their Speaker; this group has chosen this one; this bunch wants to be able to Speak for themselves, do you have any magic for that; the remainder I haven't been able to get an answer from at all.'
(2:36:05 PM) Kappa: <3
(2:36:26 PM) Adelene: (Or, better, 'this bunch I can't Speak for'.)
(2:36:30 PM) Kappa: <3
(2:36:32 PM) Adelene: ^^

I don't personally need the mouseover content warnings, but I also can't see how to get them on my mobile device, which could conceivably be a problem if somebody who does need them is also mobile.

I suspect there isn't a way to make them both mobile-friendly and spoiler-averse-person-friendly, assuming reasonable limits to what kinds of code I can use. I can experiment, I suppose. Or if someone is on mobile and needs the warnings they can PM me.

I think the procedure for getting those on a mobile device is to ask Marri to implement a spoiler feature and then wait; I don’t know of any alternative which is likely to work well on all devices, except make that a real link to a page with spoilers.

Yeah.

In the meantime, a 'heads up, this one has heavy stuff in it' warning is better than nothing, I think.

A click-to-expand spoilerbox like on these forums, maybe? Mobile users can totally click things.
