New Characters Say Hello
Re: New Characters Say Hello
If you want a face cast, there's a site called Hollow Art that a lot of people seem to use - you can select a few properties about a prospective character, and then navigate through the list to find a person and just use the icons. If you use the new Glowfic Platform, people can put attribution for the icon in a little form when they add the icon, but you probably want to rehost the icon so you don't get the watermark.
Re: New Characters Say Hello
Okay, so, I now have a character! Funny thing about the name, he's also called "Theo", since I hadn't properly read this thread until after I'd created him. It seems like PDV's "Theo" was called "Theod" in the only glowfic community thread he's been in (here, unless I'm mistaken), so hopefully it's not too much of a problem... :\
He doesn't have many opinions yet, seeing as he's new and not actually done much, but he seems to like the generic idea of "improvement". He probably wouldn't make waves or anything without magic, since he wouldn't do anything major without more ability to actually change things effectively, but if he gets some convenient magic he'd definitely try to improve things. He definitely tries to be friendly, and is somewhat charismatic. Nothing major happens in his backstory until the events in stories, unless there's some reason that it has to; he's pretty average (though with a higher than average intelligence, not ridiculously high) until sudden major events (magic or whatever) happen.
Face-cast is Brant Daugherty, apparently from "Pretty Little Liars", and his character page can be found here, and he's already in a thread with Pedro here. Feel free to ask questions about him, because they might help me to get a better idea of him, rather than just having a somewhat vague idea of his personality.
Oh, and he's willing to appear in other universes, just message me about it.

If you pick a moiety color that'll also help disambiguate.Throne3d wrote:Okay, so, I now have a character! Or you can create even more confusion and have both Theos meet, ideally in the Worm-verse where they help that ward Weaver befriends, Golem.Adelene wrote:If you pick a moiety color that'll also help disambiguate.Throne3d wrote:Okay, so, I now have a character! Can I have this colour? It's a red, but it's redder and a bit darker than Marri's, and it's more red (rather than orange-ish) than Pedro's. Perhaps name it "dark red"? (It uses the colour code #990000.)
For comparison: Emma, Theo, Sadde

Crimson is better, and we avoid starting adjective naming too soon.

Looks good t'me. I'm kinda liking the one-word color name thing we've got going on, though: how about brick?

Re: New Characters Say Hello
I think "Theod" looks like it was just a one-off typo.
Throne3d taking crimson (or brick) is fine by me if it's fine by the various other reddish glowficcers.

Brick, brick, brick, brick. Briiick, brick, brick. It's fun.

Re: New Characters Say Hello
(Upon consulting Google it appears that I have gotten crimson and scarlet confused. Crimson seems like the superior color name choice compared to brick, given that.)
