There goes my wondering what Lazarus would be able to see when looking at a parahuman. Glass would still see a lot of stuff about the world, probably including that it’s much nastier than most of its occupants think (which is saying something).

Yes, it was Gren. There have been so many Worm boxen recently it’s hard to keep track. What is the reason, just that the plot works better that way? She has been unable to copy other things, so I don’t think that’s quite it. And do you mean the Mirror in Kappa’s Inner Worlds setting? I only know what’s been posted in that thread, which isn’t quite enough to get useful intuitions for.

I've chatted a bit with Nemo about the Mirror vs Wormverse. Basically, the Mirror can copy powers regardless of whether they are magic; what matters is how well she can isolate the relevant properties.

I talked to Rockeye who confirmed that Gren could potentially also copy mutant powers.

Nemo wrote:It's all just Sufficiently Advanced. The fact that powers don't break conservation of energy is important in canon, but it also comes up at the exact point where readers' eyes tend to glaze over so it's easy to miss. (This is also why Eden wanted Kithabel—she's a potential solution to entropy.)
And I mean, as far as the vast majority of people know for most of the canon existence of powers, energy isn't conserved, and it's not conserved within a single universe, only within the whole multiverse.

(Worm physics is kinda bullshit, but it's mostly consistent bullshit, so.)

Gren can copy Unusual Things. The things she can't copy are stuff that doesn't register as relevantly Unusual. Vampirism and wolfishness, the ability to claim things in Thanjen's world...

So she can't copy sorcerous momentum, even though it's definitely magic, because it's not unusual enough?

Haven't thought about momentum in particular but that sounds right. Maybe if she saw a full sorceren she could accelerate her momentum gain by spending mana on it, but no instant ascent to sorceren level.

How does the "spellchecked genes" thing in enchanters work? Like ingotry or like elcenian wizardry or none of the above?
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

Enormous quantities of human blood appearing ex nihilo is the best thing that has happened all day. (Today isn't a very good day.)
Sounds like a job for Xan. (Does Xan do blood donation?)

I don't understand the question.
