Ah, yeah, but mswoods, mrsparkle, mxglam, and peterxy are part of your peterverse community, whereas msmaxwell, mrwoods, mrprop and mssparkle aren't. The list is of things that I've had to write into the script specifically so it'll match them up to you, because they're not in your list here, so it wouldn't otherwise think they're yours. If you could add them to your community, that'd be good, because then it can find them automatically.pedromvilar wrote:I also have mswoods, mrsparkle, mxglam, and peterxy.Throne3d wrote:Pedro has: msmaxwell, mrwoods, mrprop and mssparkle (mrwoods is an administrator of your community, peterverse, but not a member?)
As for being an admin but not a member, I... have no idea why that happened that is bizarre owo

Ooh! Okay doing that.

Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
I doubt this is worth fixing (and for all I know it has been already; I have a slightly old version), but the time formats are inconsistent:
It seems odd that one uses 24-hour time and one uses am/pm.Edited 2015-09-03 16:44 (UTC)

Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
Well, I mean, yes... It does... But that's how Dreamwidth displays them. See here, for example. If you're not logged in and you view that page, it (at least to me) displays as this. It gives the edit time in the top bar as "03:14 am (UTC)" and as "03:14 (UTC)" at the bottom. :\DanielH wrote:I doubt this is worth fixing (and for all I know it has been already; I have a slightly old version), but the time formats are inconsistent:

I've added a thing that will correct that. Next time I do the epubs they'll be fixed.
Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
Okay, the times should all be consistent now. Also, things have been updated where applicable. The links are the same:

Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
How easy would it be to extract interesting statistics from this? E.g. a list of the number of threads each glowficcer and/or account has participated in/number of comments each glowficcer and/or account has made, or a plot over time of number of active threads or number of threads started in each month?
Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
Really easy! I could add some of that now, if you'd like. What specific statistics do you want?jalapeno_dude wrote:How easy would it be to extract interesting statistics from this? I mean, I already go through each and every single post of every single page of every chapter of each index, so I can just add some numbers together each time I do a post. Running totals are easy with loops.
If you just want the number of posts by each character, I can do that. If you want me to do the number of posts by each user, that's just getting the moiety of each post's character, and then adding onto that moiety's count, which is also pretty easy. If you want the number of posts in each Effulgence post, I can also do that, but the output will be pretty long.
Number of threads started each month should be okay, too.
Edit: Starting two paragraphs in a row with "I mean"? Seriously? (My typing is weird.)

Re: EPUB and MOBI of Effulgence
I guess I'm curious about two distinct things:What specific statistics do you want?
1. I want some measure of how active the glowficcing community has been over time, and whether that measure is increasing (as it seems like it is), and how fast it's increasing if so (linear or logistic? steady, or are there seasonal effects?). The easiest thing I can think of is measuring/plotting number of threads started per time interval, but you could also look at something like number of active threads (i.e. threads with comments in that time interval), or just raw number of comments per time interval.
2. I'm curious about the number of comments by each user/character as well (the latter is actually already listed on an DW account's profile page, but it would be nice to have it all in one place).

Here's a dump for the glowfic community (this one): http://pastebin.com/u6f09Xfb
Unfortunately it seems quite slow to process, and appears to be mostly limited by how quickly it can open and read files, so I'm not really sure how to speed it up other than "get a quicker computer/hard drive" (or rather, "don't run it in a VirtualBox"). I'm going through Alicorn's sandbox and Effulgence now and I'll probably post the results tomorrow.
If you want to see trends, I recommend putting it into an Excel document and seeing if you can get it to do a scatter graph of dates and points, then create a trendline. I might also do that tomorrow if you don't in the meantime.
Let me know if you want any more data!
Edit: Effulgence data.
