I thought I had a passable identity guess from the bit about second-order effects and from the typo "Accord ing to to the second person, ..."

I thought the same, and the fact that she was poked in Blasto's direction appearance seems like pretty strong circumstantial evidence. I didn't see a gender specified either way.

I suppose if sparklesadde were more functional during that time period, they probably would have helped take over the Volturi. The Cullens were not that difficult to find, if you knew to be looking for vegetarian vampires; from there, it would only have been a matter of time before Sadde interfered with canon Luminosity and Radiance.

So I've heard of these "portalsnake" things. Are they from some source canon? Is there an actual description of them somewhere? Searches aren't turning up anything for me.

The world they are from is from Alicorn's Dreamward short story.

They are first used as a excuse to take Holly/Crystal to other worlds, but someone (kappa methinks) pointed out that you could use two portalsnakes to send people from anywhere to anywhere. One portalsnake "eats" the other and the second portalsnake "eats" the desired target.

Ah, as far I can remember that is the description... I'm sort of remembering it having chrome-metallic scales but that might be me filling the gaps.
