Why do I get the feeling that the title “minting a disaster” might be a bit more literal than I first thought?

At least I hope “disaster” is not literal. Doing something against stars or tearing them apart or asunder is usually a bad idea, and would probably take an evil anyway.

I quote I liked possibly from HPMOR but I'm not positive: "A star is nothing more than a massive pile of raw resources that is rather inconveniently on fire."

Maybe they're just minting a dis aster, a bad star, i.e. a seven-pointed coin?

We're not doing anything specific with stars, the coins or the ones in space. I don't know why ErinFlight named it that way, but it was only meant as "Amy and Flynn find coins and do stuff together".
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.

I figured that the disaster was not literal. I at first thought that the minting was a pun that other glowfic people would get but not literally making them into mints.

I do like that HPMOR quote. I didn’t say doing things to stars was always a bad idea, only that it usually was. Although, with coins involved, there is no longer a finite amount of negentropy and no reason not to let the resources continue being on fire.

The minting is quite literal.
The disaster? Well, neither Flynn or Amy seem the type to be especially careful.

With “whoops?”, I was reading the list of things they were considering offering as payment to Bella’s parents:
Gemstones, semiprecious stones, oysters containing pearls? Gold, silver, platinum, copper? Some of our universe's slightly more accurate science fiction?
My thoughts were the same as Bella’s, except that “oysters containing pearls” got more of a “that’s cheating” reaction. It feels like it might be worse to get around a prohibition on valuable things by using pearls still in their oysters than to try to just conjure the valuable things in the first place.

Sadde should definitely meet a Joker.

I vote both! And maybe we can give Pedro a heart attack of joy and have the Saddes meet Aianon.
Sorry for my bad english
