Heyo, apologies if this is in the wrong spot, but I couldn't find a preexisting thread for queries.
I know a lot of Effulgence comes from existing books/movies/etc, but I have never been able to figure out where wishcoins come from. Invention of the authors? Obscure comic? I can't figure it out, and after two years of reading Effulgence and sporadically looking around for the information, it finally bugged me enough that I had to make an account here and ask directly.
So....wishcoin origins?

Re: Wishcoins Origin?
The thread for this is Canons List. Wishcoins are inspired by / adapted from "Daughter of Smoke and Bone", by Laini Taylor, but there's substantial pivot from there to here and as implemented in Effulgence they might as well be original.

Regarding "wrong spot", this thread would be better categorized under Storytime.

If someone wants to move the thread, by all means. Having had my question (burning, awful, agonizing question! :P) answered, I don't care whatsoever if the thread get deleted/moved/merged by the admins/et cetera.
