Re: Sandbox Discussions
Solvei is a female Miles. Piotr Pierre Vorkosigan is canon-Miles' grandfather. Koskin is the last name of Solvei's family, so the local equivalent of the Vorkosigans.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
I don’t know which sandbox you’re talking about, but things sometimes get more complicated than that. They often do, if a Miles is involved. That basic summary should still be pretty good.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
The Miles Vorkosigan series by Lois McMaster Bujold is a series of novels, not a sandbox.
Re: Sandbox Discussions
I meant what sandbox Timepoof was talking about. There are multiple ones with a Solvei and not all of them work exactly as Marri described.

I originally read Rewind and thought 'new character' but then I found Skylight Empire and then some things on the forum and my brain exploded. Thanks for fixing it.

Re: Sandbox Discussions
In that case, Rewind is one of those complications. Solvei is a Miles, but the body originally belongs to a Mark (who still lives there but has Miles out front usually). In Skylight, Solvei is really Solvei and her sister is a separate in a separate body (most of the time, given their magic).

I like the—what I assume and hope to be—foreshadowing in this aside:
Also, if somebody out-of-shape is turned as a vampire, does this have any negative effects on their vampire speed, strength, required diet, or anything else? Does even Effulgence Aurum have any way of fixing vampires who wish they were shaped differently even in minor ways (more/less body-fat-or-appearance-thereof, more/less defined muscles, etc.), not counting coins?([Blair] really needs to see if there's a way to refine his power, it feels very - inexact. Sort of like being out of shape, a concept he vaguely remembers that he loathed while he was human and worked to correct.)

Re: Sandbox Discussions
No effects. Vampires are stuck being their shapes.

I am not sure if deicide is technically blasphemy or not, but I don’t think Yvette particularly cares if she’s using the right words here. And she probably would want to commit blasphemy as well.
