Revan would find the entire thing with Asgard very annoying. They're inclined to be a warrior regardless of which gender role they get handed (And it's a fifty-fifty based on what role I would like them to play, they themselves aren't picky) and everyone else that freaks out about it can just deal with it. If they're in a female body, I think they wouldn't go out of their way to sneak into magic lessons unless they had nothing to lose, but if they found a magic teacher that would quietly teach them little tricks and things, they would learn some magic and not use it very much. If male, they would just quietly pick up helpful magic along the way to showing everyone exactly where they can stick their expectations about what men can and can't do.
And of course if the Revan has sex swap magic, that would be copiously used for various purposes - Revan's inclined to stick to a sex if they have family for the sake of lessening confusion, but if they're alone it would be more 'What body would be most convenient, I will be that.'
Yvette actually highly protests being anything but female. She's actually less attached to her red hair than she is to her female-ness. Maybe eventually she'll want to/be okay with showing up as male, but so far, it's getting a flat incontestable 'No.' In Edda she'd take reasonably well to the warrior role, maybe some subverting of how it works, but it's more for the principle of the thing instead of for herself. Everyone should be able to do everything, etc.

Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
Please direct me to right place to ask for a bit more info on what's going on (I know Adarins and Zevs. I have no idea who all those other templates are help)
The WAFFLES will submit to this indignity.
Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
Here's a good place to ask for more info on what's going on!
Revan and Yvette show up in sandboxes more than they do larger more expansive projects, because I have not really been up for large expansive projects in general lately. Revan's first thread (ever) was The Worst Kind Of Surprise Party where he meets up with a vampire version of Mark, one of Kappa's templates; I think it's a pretty good spot to get a good idea of what the template's like, though the thread is unfinished. Revan in particular is bad about displaying all characteristics they contain from the get-go. Male Revans operate from this account, female Revans operate from this account. They are unfortunately bad at having names that are easily distinguished, but they prefer vaguely androgynous names and tend to be very actiony.
Yvette's first thread (I... think) was Come on wuss it's just a door, where an Yvette displays how someone native to Elcenia would solve the shren problem. Another good thread for getting started on Yvettes is And the first drink's free where Yvette is an Arabek/Pantheon goddess and meets another Arabek/Pantheon god, and cuteness ensues. Current accounts are here, here and here. Yvettes helpfully have a 'vet' somewhere in their name, and so far have always turned up as female.
They can be siblings, but are not always such. Or, if they are such, they are not always aware. Either can show up alone, but if I put them in the same continuity they will tend to be siblings, though I don't think this is a rule that is always true.
Both have another non-white facecast picked out (Katerina Graham for Revan, Meagan Tandy for Yvette), but I have had trouble with account names, so they have not been made.
Any other way I can help?

Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
I believe you’re right about the first Yvette thread, unless you count MWF stuff.
Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
The MWF is particularly unfriendly to people trying to get a handle on how things work, so I stand by my first Yvette thread choice.
Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
Yeah, I agree. That is not only the first non-MWF Yvette thread I know about, it’s a particularly good one for seeing Yvettes.
Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
I think she was a bit off model and had a bit more of a temper problem than how she is now because I was still figuring out who she was, but it shows the core parts of the template I think :)

Re: Aestrix Ramblings and Q & A
Is that time when we all have to look at the past and think about our most important traditions...
...Is the time of the new Star Wars Movie. Could you tell me how would you fit your characters in that universe? And what Earth-typical versions of those characters would think of Star Wars? :D
