I didn’t realize that was possible.

Why is the Siberian being so helpful? She could have started with the harmful knowledge, whatever that was. When useful, she is answering questions more completely than the orders require; she could have stopped with “in theory” about Shatterbird, she could have listed more Endbringer attacks before mentioning the Sun going out, etc.

What is the harmful knowledge, anyway?

I'm guessing Manton is referring to things he knows from his time with Cauldron that he expects would cause a Contessa interrupt if he tried to share them.

Not a lot of people can, but Bonesaw's an expert. We know she can guess where people keep their corona pollentia, so she should be able to check whether there is one.

The true answer to the Siberian question is "because I was tired while writing it." That and not wanting it to take an excess of comments. If there's a Watsonian explanation I don't know it yet.
Degree of unhelpfulness didn't seem like the most important thing, since Promise can get the information she wants anyway.

Is Atelos right about the dangerous information? The wiki does not have much on Contessa, but I would expect her power to want Promise to know things.

Potential Watsonian explanation for Siberian's helpfulness: Maybe she lacks strategies for being forced to talk about things because this has pretty much never been on her horizon as a possible thing that could happen before Promise, so she is being helpful because this seems like a better idea than being ineffectively obstructive, and/or because she doesn't always realize in which ways she could be unhelpful?

Hey, the Siberian was Simurgh attacked? I get the vague notion she was, but it might just be another person.
Sorry for my bad english

Manton was, and Manton is the one who generates her - it's been a while since I read the relevant bits but my impression is that they aren't really separate people, but even if they are, Simurgh being Simurgh that seems like a close enough connection.

Okay, so sandbox specific spoiler: The Simurgh can't see Fairyland, so it stands for reason that it didn't plan on contigent of Promise. Maybe the Siberian/Manton are sort of... mentally damaged enough that they can't come up with complex plans?

Why does the witchwood castle seem both deserted and lacking in locked portions?

It also has other subtle differences from the Effulgence instance.

It's a different castle, with a different captive. He is much better at hiding.
