Promise does not mind being shipped with the internet quite as much as she would mind being shipped with a person.

What would be the most offensive food to Miles (available on Beta Colony or elsewhere)? The only potentially offensive food I can think of in this context is real meat (which would not offend Miles in particular), but I expect that’s only because I’m not generally in the habit of sorting food by offensiveness.

Sabine and I have no idea, I am actually pretty terrible at caring about food and she gets all of her information about food from me. But she has a plan. Rest assured, she's going to offend someone.

I would probably be most offended by (warning: terrible) rotting human meat with dung and live wasps. Perhaps a more interesting question would be what food would be most disproportionately offensive to a given person, in comparison to its offensiveness to others.

I assume you mean non-vat human meat; the other kind would be much less offensive. In any case, I’m not sure that would even qualify as food either way. Would it be safe to eat?

I think modern-day disproportionately offensive food would be some sort of cultural appropriation. I’m not sure how that would translate to foods available in the 30th century, given that the entire cultural landscape has changed. Additionally, Betans, as far as I know, have never been cultural oppressors and so cultural appropriation as usually defined would have a hard time applying to things they eat.

That's what I meant, yes. None of the individual aspects seem totally implausible, I think? Citations:

Oh, I was imagining the third thing being generic. If it’s a specific kind, and then later processed, it makes more sense. I’d need to read more about the second before I know how safe it is to eat in combination with the first.

Total change of subject: It occurs to me to wonder if anything particularly interesting would happen if an Elcenian dragon became Dragonbonded. (They'd presumably have to be the Bonded, being the wrong type of dragon.)

Or, better yet, if Mial, shren alyemi, became Dragonbonded.

Now I am wondering what happens if one of the new dragonbond components have Keo style mind link.

Further... Why star candies had that effect?
Sorry for my bad english

I don't think merely being an Elcenian dragon should qualify one for dragonbonding.
