If it's germane, yet doesn't fit into another category, it can go here.

I think Ari would have to be the button-presser, in that scenario.

err... So, that is good.

If it brings in only willing participants she will refrain from breaking it but growl at it from a corner. She kind of, uh, hates the idea of there being a button of this kind at all and would be upset if I ever made her press it, so, I will not do that thing.
Could you disentangle her reasons to growl at the willing-participant version?

I am surprised, but I don't disagree.

Who is Luzia again? Also: Zev and Alli *_*

Luzia is fakewitch!Zevi's witch girlfriend.

I'm honestly not sure who you'd get if the machine tried to supply a soulmate or an Edie or an Emily--I think partly it depends on whether it knows what you want better than you do.

And now I want to know what the machine does when someone who's firmly aro-ace pushes the button. Dusk is being curious in my head, she would totally push the button just to see what happens. ^^

Friendly option: platonic life partner.

Unfriendly option: magic superstimulus attractiveness.

I think if Addy pressed the button she would get some kind of magic.

Duskwise we're back to the 'does the machine know what you want better than you do' question - Dusk believes that she doesn't do interpersonal in such a way as to do the platonic life partner thing, but I think if it was just the right person she would (eventually, and to her surprise) find that she's wrong.

(She says 'o.O you expect that to work?' to the magic superstimulus option. *chuckle*)

...Addy. The mimic vampire from Aurum. Not Dusk. Sorry for the conflation.

Depending on the exact magic involved, yes. Magic can do weird things that way.
