Steve?Tony? Stevony? (I kid, I kid xD)

Joker-Libby-Miles sounds almost... not epic, because there isn't much that could oppose them.

Any Green-Purple polycule that you would want to try?

It would have to be certain or near-certain, and pretty severe. The knife, the simurgh, or similar.

Nick has a dim view of vague or breezy types, so called airheads, doesn't like anyone demanding or high maintenance and he has a high view of no-nonsense types, people with practical thoughts. 'Possible romantic option' is VERY MUCH not his default categorization of people. He was very surprised when he noticed he was attracted to *spoilers*

Steel is much the same way. Anyone who wants to be with her had better be self-sufficient and not expect her to go out of her way to care for them emotionally or otherwise. It helps if they like building or making cool things, like her. Ironically bells' self-interest rubs her the wrong way even when she's quite self-interested herself.

Gren is... Strange to me. Sheer familiarity is a big part of it, if you get to know her and don't manage to tick her off she might consider it. Someone who doesn't take her seriously has no chance. It helps if they can explain why they do things that annoy her. She can push down irritation if she knows there's a decent reason.

@DanielH: Bells willing to alter their sexual orientations are not impossible (Shell Bell could have been talked into it if you caught her at the right moment; that she did it via help of Traumatic Darting was just us being jerks) but they're very uncommon, and for Tragic Attractor Reasons will not usually coexist with Kanims.

Poor Kanims. The eponymous got of lucky, he only met her and asked her to dinner the once before incompatible orientation became apparent and was immediately presented with a Tony as an alternative.

Yep. Kanims in general are okay at accepting alternatives. If we ever get around to pealing Thalassa Kanim is going to take Kerem over to the Tonies and explain the situation and go "would anytony like to adopt him" and Kerem is going to be like "excuse me, um, - oh you're all very pretty aren't you".

What are the exact "mechanics" of Ivans' sexuality?

...I dunno how mechanical you wanna get, but:

Ivans are Mostly Heterosexual and Entirely Heteroromantic. An Ivan may come in either gender, with biases both towards matching their Miles and to being a locally socially-dominant gender. (If these conflict, either may win, depending.) Their sexuality follows their gender; lady Ivans are boy-crazy. Ivans are sufficiently opposite-sex-crazy that it takes extra time and outside prompting (e.g. "I think it's hot when boys make out with each other" sayeth a girl) to notice that, hey, necking and/or having orgasms with members of the same sex also sounds like a reasonable way to pass the time. It is virtually impossible to get an Ivan to pass up opposite sex nookie, or even a non-negligible chance thereof, in order to enjoy some same-sex nookie instead; but if same-sex nookie is the only on offer they will go for it. They are pretty comfy with this; Barrayaran Ivans don't even have the hangups that ostensibly-naturally-bisexual Barrayaran Mileses do, just enough discretion not to blab about it to people who don't want to or shouldn't hear it. Ivans can do mono or poly arrangements in low-commitment setups; in the long haul they prefer mono (possibly with specific exceptions/threesomes/etc., but not generally dating around per se).
