Re: Weekly Movie Night?
Might be interested. Some weeks anyway. Not usually that big on movies.
Re: Weekly Movie Night?
I fiddled with the movie list some and came up with a new lineup that tries to keep it under 4 hours per week - I haven't checked all the movies' run times, so there might be a few more that run long and will need to be de-paired, but this seems like a closer approximation to reasonable, anyway.
movies
left over movies from the original list
Assuming that works for everybody, I'm thinking I'll put zipped copies of the files for the week on my web server for people to download, and we can try Gaze to see how it works in practice. Timewise, I'm thinking try to finish up by 10 est, so we'd need to start at about 6pm eastern time - does that work for everyone who's interested in Dragonheart and The Water Horse? Note that this will be not this upcoming Saturday but the one after that.Utility Admin

Re: Weekly Movie Night?
MyCircle doesn't require me to pay anything to upload files (and I didn't pay anything in the past). Unless it's size-limited? I haven't tried movies, only TV episodes. But movie seems to be working as well. The url I'm doing this at is http://www.mycircle.tv/account.php#mycloud
Gaze looks like they've put more effort into the site, though, so it's probably better if it works.

Re: Weekly Movie Night?
MyCircle seems to only allow uploading via MyCloud, which looks like a paid thing. Possibly there's more information about free options once you've signed up? I haven't.
Gaze doesn't do uploading at all; if we use that I'll need to distribute the movie files separately, which isn't a big deal for me but is an extra step for everyone. (When you join the room it asks you for the location of the file on your own machine; the advantage of this over VLC or whatever is that if someone needs to pause it we stay in sync.)
