So Goldmage is being updated? Huh. I was under the impression that it was stalled due to writer's block and pacing issues.

I better get around to reading it then. I have been shying away from it due to the fact that I really don't like reading abandoned stories witch have no hope of ever being resolved. If Goldmage actually does have a hope of future chapters, no matter how slow, infrequent, or unscheduled, I will read it. (As I am sure, judging by your other works, that it is an amazing story, and well worth reading. And if at some point you do stop writing it, well, that's life. It's just that I feel that I cannot in good conscience start reading a work that I know is stalled. Which Goldmage apparently isn't. So that's good. And I will read it.)

Oh goodness - "stalled" doesn't mean "abandoned". "Stalled" means "not making regular or frequent progress". If it were abandoned I would have moved it to the Defunct Projects section in the hub section.

What was the problem with Goldmage again? Pacing or something?

Plot snags. I had a beginning and an end when I started it but not the correct detail level on the middle that I could Just Write It, and it's complicated enough not to let me "write forwards" like I did with Luminosity and Radiance.

It occurs to me that, if the jumped Meea survived hours of coexistence, then she must have jumped back only a short interval. I'm not sure what else to infer from that.

She jumped a short interval, or she had lots of lifespan to kill, or both.

Sometimes, I get the impression that you don't want to answer this questions because they are major spoilers.
