Emily knows that sometimes different universes have weird physics. Sometimes those weird physics are superficially similar to normal physics. She wasn't really trying to science at the problem.
Also, they identify as straight-up twins.

I was borrowing the term from the beads, where they invented it to mean children born to the same parents at about the same time who never shared the living space. Are you saying they wouldn’t accept that term if they encountered it in that context?

They would be...surprised? They wouldn't be offended or anything, but they'd be like, no no, we really are twins. Like if there was a word for it that didn't imply a lack of twinliness compared to other twins they would accept it, but...

Yeah, that makes sense. The word does seem to be a bit broader than they use it, in that there is only one pair of people we see in Chronicle who could not be referred to as untwins of each other using basic English rules. It seems a bit like calling alts “unselves” now that you point it out like that.

I really liked Suranse! :D

I am having some problem visualizing the worlds, mostly the proportions, the way you described... it makes me think of a puffed marshmallow.
Sorry for my bad english

Sivath isn't even one of the initial lineup; originally it was planned to host a Miles/Yvette pairing, so I have a bunch of Barrayarans (including the Vorkosigan triplet!) and Aestrix has an Yvette with family.
