a template based off Ges Vorrutyer, an unpleasant secondary character from the early Vorkosigan books. The name similarity is subtle but present: Vor- is a culture-specific honorary prefix, take it away and you have Rutyer. (Similarly, Vorkosigan has been shorted to Koskin.) And the history with Aral/Anastasia* and stalker-ish tendencies are a solid match.

*This appears to be a universe where not only is Miles gender-swapped, all his associated templates are as well.

In Bujold's books, Ges Vorrutyer was not involved with Mark in any way, he died well before Miles was conceived. But if you're looking for someone to substitute David Galen in the role of abusive/crazy creator... yeah, that template would definitely work.

Avar was also previously married before Koridaar. Did he have to deal with a Ges too?

Aral was previously married before Cordelia, so I would guess that Avar's previous marriage was to an alt of the Vorrutyer cousin Aral married, (who, I don't think is ever named?) but maybe that doesn't happen without arranged marriages being a thing?

Avar's previous partner is probably dead, since dragons marry various species with shorter lives before settling down with a dragon at around 300. I think.

In my headcanon, Aral's first wife was Ges's sister and her name was Cinne. Where there are references to Arals who had previous partners before their Cordelias, an alt of Ges or Cinne or both is almost certainly involved.
