Hilary: "Once in a while."

Finnah: "Cool, what do you make?"

Hilary: *names Earth candies*

Finnah: "Neat, I want recipes."

Hilary: "Absolutely."

Kaylo: "Sure, why not."

Couldn't get anywhere with the other Jellybean ones.

In general if you have an idea what you want out of a dialogue tell us when you suggest it so we don't go "uhhhhhhhh".

Korulen and Jellybean - Vaguely assumed some comments on his clothing and maybe seeing Jelly flirting with Korulen and her reaction
Kaylo and Jellybean - Questions about Wizardry and again flirting/reaction - calling Tilly makes sense.
Ilen and Jellybean - general curiosity about what happens when Ilen and a Joker interact, I confess I lack ideas how that would go, that is why I am curious.
Cayra and Corona - Cayra might try seeing what happens when Corona amplifies vice-mancies
Cayra and Miles - See if Miles would be willing to bring vice-mancies to Nexus, since it /is/ magic
Cayra and Milo- To constrast with Miles, albeit with the possibility that chronicle has magic to share

Ehail: "My hair? It's just - I'm a silver dragon."

Fossil: "Oh, another dragon. Cool! So I can tell by the hair colors?"

Fossil: "What happens with men?"

Ehail: "Eye colors."

Fossil: "Huh. Cool."

Fossil: "Hey! So I heard from a girl named Finnah that you teach kamai."

Rhysel: "That's right, I started a program at Binaaralav wizarding academy."

Fossil: "So if I'm an extremely foreign potential six hundred year old exchange student, how possible is it for me to learn it too?"

Rhysel: "You'd probably want to go through one of the universities. You're too old to be admitted to the academy."

Fossil: "Mhm. Thanks!"

Rhysel: "No problem!"

Fossil: "My brother is likely to bother you about saving all of everyone. Tallish dude, white-grey hair, incessantly a smartass. Fair warning."

Rhysel: "…Are all of everyone in some sort of danger?"

Fossil: "I mean. Eh. Not immediate danger, but there's a problem with - every now and then we have a super magicly powerful time bomb of insanity person born. And they have not failed to cause social upheavel and strife every time they show up. That'll likely be the thing he bugs you about. We don't have another one yet, but..."

Rhysel: "That does sound like a problem, although I'm not immediately sure what I'd do about it..."

Fossil: "Yeah. Bet he has graphs. He always has graphs."

Rhysel: "...Okay."

Fossil: "Anyway, thanks! Bye!"


--Lynn and pre-Elcenia Mallyn--

Lynn: "... Excuse me. How do you feel about me taking you far, far away from your parents?"

Mallyn: "…" *headshake*

Lynn: "Would you mind telling me why? They're _obviously_ hurting you."

Mallyn: *headshake headshake* "we're fine ma'am"

Lynn: "... Okay."

Lynn: *does not for a second believe him*

Lynn: *goes and looks up what the laws for the area are like, and whether they would help abused children at all*

Aristan: *permits corporal punishment but not that much of it*

Lynn: *quietly lets the Watch know they should check this out*

Watch: *is not that concerned with policing farm families' handling of their own kids*

Lynn: "... Well all right then."

Lynn: *calls in a few favors, watches for when parents are leaving kids unattended*

Kids: *have chores all day long*

Lynn: "..." *mysteriously shows up while Mallyn is doing a chore that has him reasonably far away from parents*

Lynn: *hands him a small parcel of food* "Here."

Mallyn: "...Ma'am?"

Lynn: "That is for you and your brother and sister. I have a way for you and them to get out, where your parents and the Watch can't find you. Do you want it?"

Mallyn: *looks at her suspiciously*

Lynn: "I want nothing more than you all to be safe and happy."

Mallyn: *skepticalface*

Lynn: *cannot play the mother card because abuse* "... I had a bad family too. Once. I got out, and was much happier for it. I want the same for you."

Mallyn: "Why?"

Lynn: "Because no one should have to deal with that. Especially when they're a child."

Mallyn: *not so convinced*

Lynn: "... Mine weren't happy with how I did with magic. I wasn't - good enough. At it. But they pushed me, and pushed me, and pushed me, until I was so sick I wanted to die and couldn't drag myself out of bed. Until the shakes would be so bad I couldn't even feed myself, and then they'd yell at me for not eating their cooking. They - my brother was on my side, at first, and then he grew up and he was better at it, so he eventually joined in. And I was never happy, and I always had to work, and I was always just a little bit in pain, and I was scared and angry and guilty for not being good enough. And then, eventually, more foolish than brave - I ran."

Lynn: "And I got away. And I realized that I wasn't the one who wasn't good enough. They weren't."

Lynn: "So I want that for you, too."

Mallyn: "Not magic."

Lynn: "I know, but the why doesn't matter. It's the same sort of thing."

Mallyn: *headshake*

Lynn: "... I got treated as a servant, too. Mostly by my brother and his friends, when they got bad. 'Lynnari, fetch the water, Lynnari, clean up this mess, Lynnari, you useless klutz, you spilled the ink again, write the whole thing again.' It's not right."

Mallyn: *cringe*

Lynn: "Let me help you. Please."

Mallyn: "…all three?"

Lynn: "All three."

Mallyn: "…what do we do?"

Lynn: *winces* "It'll be a new - place. You'll need to learn the language."

Mallyn: "…before that."

Lynn: "Nothing. Tell your brother and sister that they are going to go to a new place, and at night I will be by to pick you all up."

Mallyn: *nod*

Lynn: *at night, shows up. they are all teleported away to a safe place*

Lynn: *leaves a note to the parents* "I have had you both sterilized, but if you ever find a way to treat another child like that again, I know exactly where you are, can find you wherever in the world you run to, and I am running dangerously short of mercy as is. I don't recommend it."

...Right you wanted context I think it would be nifty if Astrid's world got dragged into the Incandescence peal (non canonically, obviously) by Astrid telling her mother that her sister was retrievable.

The slasher smile on one of the bugbears in the source comic sold it for me, but bearhood fits Lynn very well. :)

Edit: Also the tracking thing, when I realized bugbears had a tracking thing my reaction was, "YES, PERFECT! EXCELLENT, FANTASTIC, YOU, YOU ARE LYNN'S SPECIES!" And then the rest was maniacal laughter.
