Ideally, I think I'd like a tracking on Anthusiasm and a faction-read on HybridZizi?

Last time, we could choose which one of us was going to do the kill and if modrony had announced her target ahead of time we would have had someone else do the kill, and maybe modrony would have tried to trick us by saying she’d track someone and then tracking someone else instead but sometimes when people do that it’s pretty easy to see through it (when i was scum on mafiascum quite a few townies tried to do that and i didn’t fall for it any of those times because something about their tone of voice I could tell they were just trying to troll me).

Let’s minimise discussing night actions, give the scum as little information to work with as possible about who is getting tracked/copped/doc protected/etc.

Talking about who you’re suspicious of is fine though, and I agree with the suspicions you’ve named and the advice about not giving out true names is really important. it is too risky to give out names.

Oh, right, I keep forgetting BSS got confirmed town by pistachi0n. I'll admit that I've been acting pretty suspiciously. I've been more suspicious than usual of people this game because a lot of the people who I thought were definitely town last game turned out to be scum. Also I've been doing stuff from my phone so rereading the thread is harder.

I am really tempted to roleclaim (partly because I think my power will be more helpful if I crowdsource my decisions) but I'm sort of wary of doing that because then the scum will have more information. (Also I don't have access to my rolepm currently but I could probably get the gods to put it in a forum message. I will quote it with my True Name redacted then).

I think in this case it's useful to have coordination though? Do we have any concrete information about true names being important, besides the queen having existed and Eva being townread earlier? I agree we should have a plan for Eva flipping town, but otherwise you're suggesting 5 mafia, which would be a bit excessive(if possible for cult reasons).

I'm not really seeing a huge problem with the sort of discussing night actions that BSS was doing, either. It wasn't like she announced who she was going to investigate, since she can't control it. I guess a full suspicion list would have been *better*, but I don't think "these two are the people I'd most like to learn more about" is really giving scum much to work with.

@anthusiasm, don't role claim directly, but if you can slip hints in, do that. More layers of obfuscation are advisable - this can be done through misdirection by adding a lot of information to a post and such that the important parts will jump out to the right people and (hopefully) no one else will notice the significance. As an example, this is why when I was Sherlock in the Effulgence mafia game, instead of making assertions like "I think so-and-so is town" or "So-and-so is at the top of my suspect list", I started ranking EVERYONE from most suspicious to least - that way I could indirectly convey information about my investigative results while looking like any other townie making guesses. If I had only given top suspects, it would have been harder for me to let people know about any Town I found. I've kept the habit and I encourage everyone to do it, and similar things, because it gives plausible deniability and more chance to get the right information to the right people. Anyway, I don't know what your role is, so maybe it's something really hard to hint at, but if you want to crowd-source your decisions, try coming up with oblique ways to request the information you want.

i agree that 5 is excessive. the point was more that we don’t know which of them are mafia or exactly how many are left.

I think I missed how BSS’ role works if I missed that she doesn’t have control over who she targets.

All right, I should probably clarify about my power: I receive information every night but I have no control over who I find out about.

Here is what I know so far:
On Night 1, I found out "PlainDealingVillain is an Independent" and "Shoal did not visit anyone on Night 1"
On Night 2, I found out "Paradox's faction is Mafia." and "pistachi0n did not visit anyone on Night 2."
