Why is everyone saying I'm a pure scum? Are we all assuming I edited my post to show a different victory condition?

Anything not Town is scum. That's what scum means.

Assuming my post was on the level (which I of course say it is), then my victory condition is perfectly compatible with the Town's victory condition. If I'm alive and the other Mafia are dead, I have no reason to kill anyone so common sense says that's a joint victory.

I assumed people thought I'd edited my post. That would be reasonably fair, but just because I'm "scum" in a superficial sense doesn't mean we can't work together.

Then they're just like any other Mafia. Any Mafia could roleclaim anything at all, in principle. It's not like we have some Scum detector powers I might fool.

Now I'm really confused. I just assumed everybody had thought I'd edited my victory conditions. I didn't know what to say to that.

The problem is partly that you didn't change you're victory condition, I think. Win condition for town is "You are TOWN, and win when all the scum are dead." Your win condition was "You win if you are still alive at the end of the game." You dont seem to be town, so you're scum unless there's a third faction I don't know about and I'm fairly sure there isn't. Even if you are a less harmful scum, town win condition requires you to die. We can't both win. Either all the scum are dead OR you're alive at the end. Sorry.

By definition of the game, there can't be multiple town factions. There can be multiple scum factions, and there were in both of the other two games. What I'm currently thinking based on DanielH's death is that there is a standard mafia, a group of people coming to a decision about who to kill every night, and then there's the Immortal, who is separate from the mafia but still scum.

There have been add-ons to the town win condition in past games, like, you win when all scum are dead and if you're alive at the end of the game. But Yadal, yours doesn't sound like an add on.

Essentially, it's not a good idea to let survivor roles survive until the end-game, because they have a nasty habit of siding with the scum at that point to save their own skins.

Drat. I didn't realise Alicorn had put that in the Town victory conditions. I assumed that if I were alive at the end of the game and the Town was we could both win, as in the real situation we simulated that would be indeed the case.
