AU Social Justice Series

Post by Alicorn »

It's seen a lot of activity lately, so if you don't follow my tumblr, here is a reminder that this exists: Chronlogical order, all of the AUs.

This project makes me very happy! I interacted with it for the first time today (in these four asks), and I had a lot of fun writing the different voices (especially the crazy one ;) , though I realized belatedly that that ask would have been like 50% better if I had misspelled 'fascist'...). I think it's a really neat way of doing collaborative worldbuilding--e.g. I thought about making a thread here asking if/how daemons interacted with food, but than I figured I should just go ahead and throw out the scenario instead and see how you'd run with it.

So far I have had to ignore, like, one ask because I couldn't wedge it into where I was going with an AU (and it was a while ago), people are being really good about doing it as a sort of collaborative improv writing project! I was really happy about the flurry of asks today, yours were fun :) The voices are a great exercise for me too.

I also really like these! I asked some questions anonymously (the first one about shampooing moths, and the spider anon who Googled the spider song, which if anyone was wondering, looks like it's Along Came a Spider) because I wasn't sure if I used my tumblr logged in if I should be consistently the same person.

Can we use this thread to discuss ideas for asks?

I wanted to make an anon about "settled privilege" and how unsettled children opinions are threaded as invalid because theirs souls change

In case anyone was wondering, I'm the anon who got all excited about the artistic choices in the Along Came a Spider music video.

I don't require logged-in users to keep consistent character between asks, although you might want to make your cues that you're being somebody else stronger if you present different personae to the same AU person.

So, I took a picture of a shop window with a bride gown and groom suit, next to the suit there was a stuffed white tiger, there was no other animal in picture.

...how about a daemon social justice post around that? :D
