pistachi0n: yes, formatting would be appreciated!

Alicorn: Lambda's map has them (written next to the lines themselves, usually near their ends). I'm not picky about hex codes (I've just been using the "Full Editor" to compose posts and clicking on whatever color seems closest in the "Font colour" selector, plus bolding for legibility), but I suppose you could extract them from the map itself if you were so inclined.

Oh, and Alicorn, you neglected to list His Holiness The Reverend Doctor Saint Father Soft III as a "lucky cat" in your list of ending possessions. I think this is merely a transcription error carried over from my imperfect reading of your initial moves, and would be fine with you editing the post rather than having to lose the "lucky" status.

His Holiness The Reverend Doctor Saint Father Soft III has had his luckiness reinstated. Thanks!

I didn't spot those labels on lambda's map, but now there they obviously are, doy.

The reason I ask for a legend of font colors is that I can just click "edit" on your post and copy the color you used, but nobody else can do that, so this doesn't seem equitable.

Starting Position: Mornington Crescent
Current Objective: Mornington Crescent
Starting Possessions: Starting Ticket, baggage label.

Movement

[I'm in a dactylic starting position, so I can take the Oeneus maneuver (Volume 8, "Obscure references", page 269) right off the bat.]

1) Northern Line Northbound (by Starting Ticket): Mornington Crescent -> Camden Town.

2) Line Change: Northern Line -> Overground. The new line is also dactylic, so the above rule means the interchange is free.

3) Overground, Eastbound: Camden Road -> Caledonian Road (and Barnesbury).

I acquire the boar's head, but end my turn early instead of giving it to another player. (Aminev appendix E, "Things You Can Technically Do But Shouldn't," p. 271.)

Ending Location: Caledonian Road and Barnesbury
Ending Possessions: label; boar's head erased.

[Interesting choice there, Nemo. I think I see what you're doing, but let's see how it goes...]

Player Four, Turn One
Starting Position: Mornington Crescent
Starting Objective: Mornington Crescent
Starting Possessions: Starting Ticket, luggage, change of clothes (corduroy skirt)
Starting Status: none

Movement

1) Northern Line (Aminev 4.88): Mornington Crescent -> Archway

2) Interchange (Aminev 6.12): Archway -> Upper Holloway [Note the interchange affects my formatting slightly; see the footnote on pp.312-14.]

Purchases and Exchanges

I) Busk (Aminev 12.7): perform hat trick (variant 2.e.), collect £20. [Since variants 2.*. are athletic, I'm now Flushed.]

[Since Alicorn opened with wordplay, I think I'd better...]

II) Exchange: Linguistics (Aminev 14.17): luggage -> portmanteau [synonym]

Ending Position: Upper Holloway
Ending Objective: Mornington Crescent
Ending Possessions: portmanteau, change of clothes (corduroy skirt), £20
Ending Status: Flushed

[Lots of diverse strategies here!]

Player Five, Turn One
Starting Position: Mornington Crescent
Current Objective: Mornington Crescent
Starting Possessions: Starting Ticket, towel, trowel, cowl, 'u', Caliph Archimedes the great horned owl [I took standard rhyming set F.3 (Aminev 4.7), picked 'u' as my vowel, and named my owl Archimedes, with the title granted because of the naming location (Aminev 22.1).]
Starting Status: Glowering [from "scowl" in the rhyming set]

Movement, Part 1

1) Northern Line, Southbound (by Starting Ticket): Mornington Crescent -> Euston

2) Interchange: Northern Line -> National Rail [This fails, since I lack a ticket; my mood changes to Angered.]

Purchases and Exchanges

I) Exchange: Alter Emotion (Aminev 11.2): Temper Tantrum (11.2.4c) to convert Angered->Having Undergone Catharsis, gaining the descriptive phrase "really whoop up" in the process [and incidentally displacing my Angered status to the rail guards]

II) Exchange: Linguistic Confusion (Aminev 9.13): Put on the cowl to become Disguised, evading the guards [who remain Angered for 3 turns, Aminev 11.6.3A] and converting "really whoop up" -> 'really whoop up' in the confusion

Movement, Part II

3) Teleportation (by anagram, Aminev 7.6): Euston -> Upper Holloway [exhausting 'really whoop up']

Interaction

A) Offer Lambda the towel [taking advantage of her Flushed state]. Lambda may either accept, gaining a towel and removing Flushed (but allowing me to pass her in the turn order and gain Karma) or decline, beginning a Grudge between us (Aminev, Appendix C) and granting me double advantage [as I'm both initiating and Disguised].

Ending Position: Upper Holloway
Ending Possessions: towel [for now], trowel, cowl (wearing), 'u', Caliph Archimedes the great horned owl
Ending Status: Having Undergone Catharsis, Disguised (cowl)

jalapeno, stop me if you prefer no discussion out of turn, but if your owl is a Caliph we're going to start a Holy War, possibly escalating to A Land War In Asia With Venusians (19.7-G), if my cat also acquires the title, and that's not good for either of us. Are you amenable to collaborating to prevent this outcome, either by coordinating to make sure no one lands on Hornchurch, removing the Caliph title from the owl, or initiating a S'chism Tango to pre-split the Five Pillars? You can have three and I'll take two, since your companion animal is already Caliph and mine is just a potential (and also I don't think I have a strategic leg to stand on if I want the lion's share; that was a beautifully executed turn and I am in awe).

Discussion out of turn is both tolerated and encouraged! I think cross-talk is an essential part of the 'Crescent experience.

So, I'm indeed inclined to cooperate with you to avoid the Holy War. (Flattery will get you everywhere...) Normally I'd advocate blacklisting Hornchurch; it's quite far away from the usual zones of play hence fairly easy to enforce. In my experience, though, linguistically-oriented games such as this one seems likely to become have a strange way of involving Upminster, and that's far too close to Hornchurch for comfort. So initiating the Tango seems like a good idea. Go ahead and do your part next turn and I'll follow up.

[Karma's all well and good, but a towel is a towel. I approve.]
