Night 3 - Actions
So michaelblume was a dragon. Okay.
I think we've pretty definitively established we should (attempt to) kill modrony. That leaves who should do the kill, who to investigate (no point in doing anyone but anthusiasm/futurevision/michaelblume/Paradox), and who to protect.

I'm going to protect whoever you assign to do the kill, unless it's Tulip, in which case, I'll protect you.

So we should think about who to assign to the kill then, to get maximum benefit out of them being protected. As far as I can tell no one suspects me of anything right now, and that seems unlikely to change in the short term. Maybe we should switch to protecting Tamien, who is the only one of us who both has a power and is protectable. Or we should try to anticipate which of us is the most suspicious and protect them. Or maybe even falsely create suspicion on someone to give them extra credibility when the lynch fails, though we'd need to come up with a good cover story.pistachi0n wrote:I'm going to protect whoever you assign to do the kill, unless it's Tulip, in which case, I'll protect you.

I'm good with Tamien getting the kill and protecting her. Her power's been really useful, especially with the listposts.

Re: Night 3 - Actions
I'm fine with being protected (who wouldn't be?) but I'd rather not get the kill, in case anyone can get info on my night actions. I think out of all of us, I'm probably the one who should be avoiding suspicion the most. My personal inclination is to give Tulip the kill, but I'm fine with anyone other than me doing it, really :P

Re: Night 3 - Actions
Okay, then we should give either me or Shoal the kill and have pistachi0n protect whoever one of us does the killing, as planned. Which of us do people think reads as more suspicious at this point? Probably me since I've been pushing for rolelists, right?
(To be clear: I only want to give the kill to someone who's protected on the next day, so that they're safe for a day if someone observes them during the night. That rules out pistachi0n and Tulip.)

Re: Night 3 - Actions
Why does it rule out Tulip? Anyone who sees her will die. Unless it's a dragon who nobody's tried to kill yet, actually, so you're right.
Whoever it is doesn't seem to make a difference, nobody's been suspicious of you two. I do think that if someone is suspicious of one of you, they probably won't be suspicious of the other one.

Re: Night 3 - Actions
Anyone who sees me by inspecting me will die, but if a Watcher watched whoever I killed (which they pretty plausibly would tonight, with our target so obvious), they wouldn't die and could plausibly get me lynched the next day.

Re: Night 3 - Actions
I mean, I guess I can see "I have a useful power and can be protected" + "The person who gets the kill should be protected the next day, in case there are any witnesses to the killing" adding up to "I should get the kill and be protected". I'll take the kill if you guys think that makes the most sense. I'm not sure how long I would be able to play towncop believably if suspicion did end up falling on me, anyway.
I can see the argument against letting Tulip have the kill, since their power wouldn't stop someone else from killing them, and pistachi0n cannot protect them (although I still think it would be beautiful hilarious poetic justice for anyone protown to die by targeting Tulip). Plu,s it's possible that there is a Watcher-style role.
I agree that pistachi0n should not get the kill, since she cannot protect herself, and could potentially play town light if it came down to it.
I'm not sure whether you or Shoal is more suspicious to town. I think a lot of town still views the rolelists as protown, so I don't think you advocating them has made you suspicious yet? I can see arguments in favor of either of you having it (we should move the kill around so that it's less likely someone will happen to investigate you on a night you are killing vs we should not move the kill around so that we consolidate any night action-related suspicion onto one person). I agree with pistachi0n that anyone who is suspicious of one of you is likely to not suspect the other. Maybe you should just keep doing it unless someone else wants to?

Re: Night 3 - Actions
Yeah, that's sort of what I'm leaning towards. I keep daydreaming about these elaborate social engineering strategies where we deliberately make one of us look suspicious and then protect them from being lynched, but I'm pretty sure that's at minimum unnecessary right now and probably likely to backfire anyway. So I guess I will take tonight's kill again unless we come back around to thinking you should do it.Tamien wrote:Maybe you should just keep doing it unless someone else wants to?
Who were you planning on investigating tonight?
