Day 3 Spam: Spam or Death
Re: Day 3 Spam: Spam or Death
anthusiasm provided her listpost after modrony roleclaimed but before the spoilered post. Therefore, I think it's less likely that it was anthusiasm modrony saw because something prompted the original roleclaim, as a powerrole you don't stick your neck out like this unless you think you can save a life or kill a mafia by doing it. I don't know if the "I'll vote people until they post listposts" thing is enough for that. It could be, but it could be a cover, too.
So maybe we should find out who Paradox is tonight :)
also i keep giving Actually Good Advice to the town in the thread. need to cut back on that while no one's suspecting me anyway.

Yeah, I agree. That's why I assumed modrony must have decided someone was a light based on their listpost.pistachi0n wrote:I don't know how she'd know someone is a light based on who they targeted though. Assuming she's telling the truth, it sounds like she asks Alicorn "who did x target" and Alicorn says "x targeted y" or "x targeted nobody." The only way to tell what the action does is if y is dead the next morning.
Edit: possibly other ways, I can't think of anything though.

Yeah, even if what I posted above is correct it doesn't explain why modrony would roleclaim in the first place. For whatever reason they really wanted (at least) one of anthusiasm, alphabeta, or michaelblume not to make a listpost, it seems. If that was based on something they observed at night, it doesn't seem like there's room for modrony to *also* have observed someone they thought was a light, unless they were lying in the post where they roleclaimed that they saw one person doing nothing and one person doing something important.Shoal wrote:something prompted the original roleclaim, as a powerrole you don't stick your neck out like this unless you think you can save a life or kill a mafia by doing it. Seeing someone target tau, and tau subsequently fail to die of lynching, *could* theoretically have convinced modrony that the person the investigated were a light... if it weren't for the dragons-tanking-kills mechanic... or that tau died of scum immediately thereafter. Listpost seems the most likely :P

Yeah. I was wondering about that too, if she saw someone target tau on night 1. But she knows tau was revealed to be a dragon when he died for real...
I'm starting to think she's lying, but I still think we should kill her.

Well, we don't *strictly* know that dragons can tank kills--you have to believe that MTC was telling the truth, after all.pistachi0n wrote:Yeah. I was wondering about that too, if she saw someone target tau on night 1. But she knows tau was revealed to be a dragon when he died for real...

But yeah, we definitely should. Even if there's actually a light that prevents the killing, which I think is unlikely at this point, learning that information is probably worth the kill attempt.

We don't strictly know, but I think Tau not dying when he was lynched is reasonable evidence. I can't think of any reason someone would want to have protected tau in particular.
Also, if there is a light, do you think they protect against nightkills only? Nightkills and lynching? Lynching only? I doubt there would be a town light who protects against lynching only.

So, the logical part of my brain knows modrony's hint was not directed at me, but I'm still getting eerie vibes when she says her message is supposedly solvable by one person only, because the only light I know of is me.

I can't *think* of any way that modrony could possibly know you are a light, assuming that they are in fact Leekath. But yeah. Same :P

Okay, the people who didn't vote despite modrony's repeated urgings were futurevision, Tulip, and michaelblume. Michaelblume is understandable. Tulip, we can totally use this to cast suspicion on you tomorrow if you want. And futurevision has now either not voted or explicitly abstained on every day. (They did vote for Aestrix on Day 1 and PDV on Day 2 but ultimately retracted both of those).
