That does seem like wasting a vote.
If he's mafia he isn't doing harm at this minute.
Also he isn't around to defend himself so we lose the chance to react to any defences he might make.
My opinion on this would be different if he wasn't mod-confirmed to be waiting for replacement.
But by all means keep your votes there if you don't have a better candidate. I still think it's important to vote for someone.

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Killing an inactive player I can't replace seems like a perfectly reasonable thing to do, honestly, but if I do find someone to step in at the last minute I will extend the day by 24 hours just this once.
Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Honestly, I think the vote blocker also made a mistake last turn. I mean, they blocked a vote for the demon, and we all want the demon dead, right?
Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
It's also possible that one of the votes on him didn't count.
This is a large part of the reason I want everyone to vote today.

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Information about me:
Having a total shit brain day and going to be on a plane tomorrow
Probably not going to make any decisions today or have internet access at nightfall or be able to helpfully include the countdown on every page
Have fun everybody

If michaelblume is mafia, we still need to kill him eventually. If he isn't? I mean, it's unfortunate, but having a completely inactive player around is also bad for town.
Also: All the votes on Day 1 counted. Futurevision and Paradox didn't vote. Futurevision explicitly abstained on Day 2, Paradox voted for PDV. So it's possible that Paradox's vote doesn't count--but why would Alicorn make a role who's vote doesn't count? It would have do be balanced out by some strong power role. It's more likely that there was a voteblocker who didn't want PDV to die.

The voteblocker thing is a definite possibility yes.
As for why someone's vote wouldn't count I do remember something like that happening last game.
Maybe people with more knowledge about demons have theories?

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
i think the only times that people's votes weren't counted last game were votes by cult members against the cult leader (or anyone in the cult's inner circle against each other, i think?), and when they were targeted by the voteblocker. i'm not sure what other vote manipulation mechanics there might be. maybe someone who can save up votes and then multivote later? but then they'd be abstaining, not having votes that don't count, probably.
i don't know that much about demons, but maybe the voteblocker thought that lynching the demon would lead to someone getting possessed, and wanted to wait and learn more about how demons work before risking having the demon move to an unknown person? or maybe the demon itself has some sort of voteblocking power and was just trying to stay in Revenn longer?

As I intensely dislike last minute drama I will post this now.
I do hope we can avoid discussing it. I certainly won't.
