vote michaelblume
Modrony made a good point about listposts. But regardless of whether or not he's made a listpost, I do not like michaelblume's inactivity. If he logs on and actually says something, I'll likely vote for someone else.
Michaelblume, if you have too much real life stuff going on to play, please do the right thing and ask Alicorn to replace you. It's not fun for anyone when someone doesn't participate.

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Kappa listed Alphabeta, anthusiasm, michaelblume, and futurevision as living players without listposts. Since that time futurevision has posted a listpost. I committed to vote for one of the players who had not yet posted a listpost when people started voting. People have now started voting, so I will therefore vote for one of Alphabeta, anthusiasm, or michaelblume.
I choose to vote anthusiasm. I am doing this for two reasons. First, anthusiasm is the only of these three who has acknowledged my previous post, so I believe I have the best chance of convincing her quickly. Second, she has repeatedly changed her mind on whether to make a listpost. I find this flip-flopping to be extremely suspicious, much more so than I'd find a simple refusal to make a list at all.
I will now proceed to publicly name and shame people who made commitments and have broken them. I am fairly sure I know why these people have done so, but I think this public acknowledgment is an important step in getting people to take commitments seriously.
Shoal, you previously commited to

. Since futurevision made a listpost, you should therefore be voting for michaelblume, but you are not doing so. Will you admit that your intentions have altered, and explicitly explain why they have done so?Shoal wrote:vote for futurevision, michaelblume, anthusiasm, and/or Alphabeta, sequentially, removing those that have since composed listposts from the pool, switching to somebody from an entirely different pool of suspects if they should seem more scummy, and if one of them composes a listpost I'll vote the next in line
Kappa, you said the following:
You just voted for futurevision with no explanation whatsoever, *without* "good reasoning that [you could] actually explain out loud" -- or, if you had that good reasoning, you did not actually explain it out loud. Will you admit that you changed your mind, and either provide the promised good reasoning for doing so or at least explicitly attest that it exists even if you won't post it publicly?Kappa wrote:I commit to voting for someone who has not posted a listpost, assuming that is true of anyone at the end of the day. I will change my mind if changing my mind becomes obviously a good idea, but only if I have good reasoning that I can actually explain out loud.

You should therefore be voting for futurevision, because michaelblume and anthusiasm have yet to make listposts. Will you admit that you have broken your commitment? (I assume you meant to say you will re-evaluate if any of them make listposts. Phrasing is important!)pistachi0n wrote:I am committing to voting for futurevision, michaelblume, and anthusiasum in that order. If all of them make listposts, I will re-evaluate my suspicions.

I forgot
I am not having any better of a brain day than I was last time I complained I wasn't having a good brain day
This time I am checking who actually doesn't have one listed
vote michaelblume

Thanks! I hope I did not make your bad brain day worse--I certainly did not intend to do so.Kappa wrote:I forgot

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Jalapeno--to be more specific, I meant that when people start voting, I would vote for futurevision if she still hadn't made a list post. If she had, I was going to move to michaelblume, and if he had, it was onto anthusiasum, and if she had, then I would have evaluated my suspicions.
Futurevision has made a listpost, so I am voting for michaelblume. However, at this point I would probably still be voting for him even if he had made a listpost early day 2 and not said anything since.

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Oh wow I totally missed futurevision's listpost; thank you for pointing it out, jalapano_dude. I'm not actually sure it's enough to take them off the top of my list yet, though. I will think about this for a bit and decide whether to move down to the next top suspect on my list.

Okay having reread modrony's argument I've decided that the benefits are worth the costs. Here's my list post. I don't think it will do any harm:

It's more than slightly useless to list the names of confirmed dead characters, but okay, listed.

I am not impressed by that listpost, but I guess it's sufficient. (i.e. what Kappa said.) I therefore withdraw my vote for anthusiasm. I will now vote michaelblume.

Re: Elcenia Mafia Game Thread
Yeah, I mean the main reason I hadn't made one already was that I didn't actually have good ideas.
