Is any kind of undercover work something that happens in canon?

I mean, there's the whole Linnip thing, what with the rebellion and having a couple people pose as Linnipese through shape-shifting and all that. We could be dealing with a Linnipese mafia, but I'm not sure. And I don't think they did any torture and kindapping -- though they did arrest some people, so maybe that counts.

Still, I feel like what happened with Aestrix is entirely different from that -- but I could be wrong. I really think it may have been witness protection, and not something else.

Yeah, Linnip definitely captured people, notably Emryl (see part 4 of Blood). When she was released her memories of captivity were wiped, so we don't actually know if they tortured her.

He's been acting pretty strangely and seems linked with our other suspicious player, wolffreak. Wolffreak's behavior seems like more bad play than anything else, but I'm less certain about that from MTC, so voting for him.

A couple people mentioned that they still think the three kills/cycle prediction was weird. I had no information about that, and still don't, and I still expect Aestrix's 'death' or something similarly weird to continue, and happen about once per night, probably. The Gods wanted 20 people for this, and I doubt it's just to include a ton of characters; there are probably several factions. (Huh, could BSS and Alphabeta both be non-town, but different non-town factions? That is probably too paranoid. I'm sure the scum (or one of the scums, if there are multiple) will kill one of them soon, and then we'll know.) Probably you should disregard all this, since I'm trying to read Divine minds and that's even harder than reading regular minds.

I haven't found any of the arguments particularly convincing, so I'm going to abstain for now.

Sorry this is so late, I still need to catch up on the thread, but I started to write this and had to go do something and wanted to finish and post this before I read the rest, in the spirit of the thing.

It would be a lot easier to form suspicions if I were a more suspicious person.
Right now on my list tau is highest with 3 points for the weird list and sorta-lurking.
Second highest are futurevision and modrony with 2 points each. Futurevision has been lurking with just 6 posts total, and modrony for the weird votes yesterday evening.
I have some but not a lot of suspicion for wolffreak567 because while she has been lurking and making declarations, I know her in real life and it matches her IRL pretty well. She was also there for a lot of in person games of mafia we've played where basically if you said anything, the entire town would lynch you for no good reason, and I'm pretty sure she's been really busy a lot lately. This might just be my warm fuzzy feelings about people I'm friends with though.
I don't have strong feelings about most other players right now.
