Day 2 Spam: SPAM HARDER
Re: Day 2 Spam: SPAM HARDER
@pistachi0n. i don't know and we probably can't ask him unfortunately. if we call attention to it, the next time she'll randomise the order of the list to fool with us. but we can ask for an updated list or to relink it now and then to track the changes.

This seems likely, but do we know this for sure? Looking at his post I see Keo, Kanaat, Runa, possibly Kaylo or Eryn (those last two seem unlikely) as non-vanilla people he could be... Or am I missing something?Shoal wrote:so, tau is vanilla http://alicorn.elcenia.com/board/viewto ... =80#p11103

Maybe it's the mother's grave thing?pistachi0n wrote:Why would Kappa find Tamien suspicious? Maybe because she was the first person to vote for Aestrix after Kappa did? If Kappa guessed that we didn't know Aestrix was the traitor, I can see why she'd find that mildly suspicious, but why suspicious enough to make the top of the list?
Re: Day 2 Spam: SPAM HARDER
not for sure, no but kappa was right that most of the posts are just vanilla or not speculating much about what the role does. i think if tau wasn't vanilla they'd have speculated harder about roles. but tau could be keo, kanaat, or runa. (i agree the last two are unlikely). on the other hand, for some of the powers, tau lists "dragon" and if there are dragon powers and tau had them then tau would know what they are. but tau could just be listing dragon as a reminder of who is who;i think i did that in my own post too (though i was speculating that there were dragon powers)

I think it's pretty great that our family hasn't come up at all even when people speculated about who the killers are.

Yep. I'm not even listed on the cast list, so that helps. :p Paradox listed Oris, but thinks she'd be Town, and that's it. I guess a lot more people have read Summons than Blood? Though to be fair if I had to guess Mafia factions I wouldn't come up with Ryganaav first (I'd probably go with either miscellaneous unaffiliated bad guys (Samia, Arylla, Hallai, etc.) or Linnip).pistachi0n wrote:I think it's pretty great that our family hasn't come up at all even when people speculated about who the killers are.
EDIT: Are all of the villains in Elcenia besides Ryganaavi female? I guess the demon is genderless, and maybe Samia's brother (?) who kept her locked up without Narax's knowledge, and Tekaal's jerk reporter brother, but those are a stretch.
EDIT EDIT: And, of course, IMO Talyn is the real villain of the story, though presumably not for the purposes of this game.

As a matter of Elcenia canon, Samia was institutionalized by a school acquaintance, not a family member.

Re: Day 2 Spam: SPAM HARDER
Ah, I should have checked first. Right, a "friend from school" (Summons Ch. 4, seems to be female judging from Neris's pronoun use). But the one who actually tried to kill her and Narax was a previous boyfriend (Summons Ch. 3). Got it.Alicorn wrote:As a matter of Elcenia canon, Samia was institutionalized by a school acquaintance, not a family member.
I'd be interested to hear your comments on the broader question, though. :)
Re: Day 2 Spam: SPAM HARDER
I'm currently debating how worthwhile it would be make a listpost for myself. Specifically, whether the reduced suspicion from the non-investigators worth the reduced chance that their investigators will try to figure me out. And, if not, whether I should try to make my non-listedness a bit more overt. I specifically laid out my initial refusal to make a listpost as bait for investigators (by implying that it was because I expected my power to stick out too much in the list), but it doesn't seem like anyone took the bait so far, and I don't know if that was because I was too subtle or just because they were too busy with Aestrix.

EDIT: I have checked, and, as expected, we're the only players in the game who have postcounts that don't match the number of posts found by searching.
MTC=Leekath confirmed? ;) Nothing has happened in the game thread in the last few hours, so it's likely that Alicorn was referring either to us, to the game in general, or there's another group of players with their own communication channel making deductions. (That reminds me, I should go and see if any of the other players in the game have a secret forum of their own. Seems unlikely, but I haven't actually checked.)Alicorn wrote:If you want to learn how fucking scary the amounts of information derivable from trivial evidence can get: watch bright people play mafia
